I Love a Handmade Home
Hello, sweet frends! My name is Becky, and welcome to Kinda Shabby. I love so many decorating styles: French country, farmhouse, cottage, and shabby chic. When it came to deciding on a name for my page, I thought to myself, “I guess I’m only kinda shabby.” And that’s how it began!
My husband, Tim, and I have been painting furniture, doing DIY projects from recycled materials, and making hand crafted home decor for years. Kinda Shabby has grown from my love of creating a warm, cozy, inviting home for my family and friends.
So many of our projects simply start with a need for something useful: a bench here, a shelf there, new throw pillows, seasonal decor for my porch. Sometimes it’s realizing that a well-loved furniture piece from the 1980’s needs a serious update!
Whatever it may be, it is my hope that the things that we share will inspire you to create something beautiful in your spaces as well. Having a beautifully decorated home doesn’t have to be expensive!
