Using The Power Of Laughter To Create A Future We Can Smile About It is the expressed goal of Laughter 4 Your Soul to do all we can to change that.
We use the social atmosphere of entertainment to give people like you a chance to feel good about making a difference. The real work starts after the show has ended...
Scripture tells us to…
“Train a child in the way they should go.”
From the looks of things, it would seem that somebody has missed the mark. We are a promotions and entertainment company that invests its profits in the future wel
lbeing of our young people. Yes there is a problem concerning the children in our communities; but I would suggest that they are only partially to blame. Instead of viewing the children as hopeless and unreachable, we think the real problem is in the things they are exposed too and the influences that shape their young minds. Those same minds are getting their fill of violence and crime on a daily basis. Kids in our inner city communities don’t have to go to the movies or watch T.V. There is a war zone just out the front door. For the most part children are depressed, stressed, traumatized, and afraid. For too long we have allowed these conditions to exist and mushroom to their present state. It’s high time we put our minds to changing that. We firmly believe that by changing the surrounding conditions we can manage the end result of what becomes of the child. Through the use of positive influences that provide wholesome choices, children can be encouraged to make better life decisions. It is our goal to produce those positive influences and wholesome choices, and we’re asking for your help. Every time you support one of our shows… you help to make this possible. Our Christian Comedy Shows provide seed money…
These funds can be put to use for the kids in positive ways. By coming out to our shows and having a good time, you are helping to provide lasting good times for the children as well. What we really do is simple…
Exposure…
By exposing children to positive environments and situations, the damage done by the streets can be reduced to a minimum. This coupled with exposure to positive people who serve as mentors and role models is the first step in the process. Engagement…
Exposure alone is not enough. We also engage the children in activities that reinforce positive social behavior. Games that don’t require aggressive posturing, discussion and debate that push the mind, and trips that allow the children to travel away from the neighborhood blocks. We give them a chance to see and experience something that the “Hood” just doesn’t offer. Encouragement…
Finally, there is continued encouragement… for the children to consider their choices, both good and bad; and to also consider the outcome of whatever choice they make. Then there is encouragement for the people who provide services for children; churches, organizations, mentors, and anyone who would consider addressing their needs. But most importantly there is encouragement for families… parents and care providers who need to know that they’re not alone.
