IIT JEE 2017: CBSE makes Aadhaar card compulsory..
The Central Board Of Secondary Education has made Aadhar card mandatory for all students appearing for JEE (Main) in 2017, except Jammu amd Kashmir, Assam and Meghalaya. In a fresh circular, CBSE has clarified that they have set up facilitation centres for Aadhaar enrolment in cities where the examination is scheduled to be held. The list of the facilitation centre is available on the official website – jeemain.nic.in.
In case the applicants who have not received the Aadhaar card, they need to enter 28 digit Aadhaar Enrolment ID printed on the slip at the time of filling online application form for JEE (Main) 2017.
The Board will release the detailed notification on December 1, 2016.

What is CBSE Improvement Exam? – Details here
CBSE Improvement Exam is conducted by CBSE to allows students to reappear in one or more subjects in succeeding year board examinations. Students appearing in CBSE Improvement Exam appear as private candidates in the main exam, that means they do not have to attend regular school for appearing in the improvement exam.
Students can appear for improvement exam for one or all of the passing subjects but not in the additional subjects and the subjects in which they are been declared fail. A candidate appearing for improvement exam in one or more subjects can not appear for additional subject simultaneously. Fees structure can be seen here.
Forms for the CBSE Improvement Exam are available from July or August till October and can be collected from Syndicate Banks or CBSE Regional office and you have to submit the form and fees at syndicate bank branches only, list of all branches in India can be checked here. See this post for bank challan and form images. Cost of the CBSE Improvement Exam form is Rs.10.
Some points to note about the CBSE Improvement Exam:
A candidate has to pass the Secondary School Examination of the Board in order to appear in the CBSE Improvement Examination. Students may appear in the failing subject (Sixth subject) at the Compartment Examination to be held in July/August the same year, then they can appear in the improvement examination next year (only if they pass in the compartment examination).
The candidate cannot pursue higher studies in the mean time.
Those reappearing in the whole examination, may appear as regular school candidates also.
For subjects involving practical exams, students shall appear only in theory and previous practical marks will be carried forward to their new marksheet. In case the candidate has failed in practical he/she have to appear in theory and practical both irrespective of the fact that he/she has already cleared the theory examination.
Compartment or supplementary examination is not conducted for CBSE Improvement Exam.
Candidates appearing in the CBSE Improvement are issued a new marksheet, reflecting the marks of the subjects they have appeared in the CBSE Improvement Exam only. New passing certificate is not issued since the previous year passing certificate is still valid.
There are two types of forms, one for Delhi is “DISSCE” (only for govt schools in Delhi) and one for All India is “AISSCE” (for private schools).

New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is expected to announce the results of Class 12 examinations on Wednesday at 11 am.
The CBSE is anticipated to declare the results for Allahabad, Bhubaneshwar, Guwahati, Patna, Ajmer and Panchkula regions today.
Students can check the result on websites: www.results.nic.in, www.cbse.nic.in
Some reports say that the results of Delhi NCR region will be declared on Thursday (May 29).

Uncertainty prevails over the announcement of CBSE Class 12 results, as CBSE has confirmed that the results will not be announced on Monday.
While rumours seemed to suggest that the board would declare the results on Monday, CBSE spokesperson Rama Sharma, on Sunday, confirmed that it would not be announced on Monday, adding that the board would announce t he results “very soon and the media would be duly informed”.
Official sources, meanwhile, said that the results were expected to be announced by Tuesday or Wednesday.
Last year, the board declared the Class 12 results on May 27. This year, examinations began in March, but were extended till April 25 due to Lok Sabha elections, with CBSE even rescheduling some papers.

While CBSE Class 12 students eagerly wait for their exam results for the session 2014, the results are likely to be declared on May 26 2014, almost two months after the exams were held.
CBSE conducts exams for various streams of Senior Secondary Level in India, every year. For the session 2014, a total of 10,29,874 candidates had registered for the examination wherein 6,03,064 were boys and 4,26,810 were girls. After appearing for the exams and waiting for almost two months, the students are now likely to get their results to be declared by the Board on May 26.
Students need to check their results on official website of the Board, i.e. www.cbseresults.nic.in.
The exams of CBSE Class 12 are usually difficult for the students but as per the reviews this year, the exams were a bit more difficult this year as compared to the ones that were conducted in the past few years. Now with the results approaching and due to a large number of students from across the nation taking part in the exam, the competition has also been a tough one although record breaking scores are expected from the students this year too.
However, students can dial a toll free number 1800 11 8004 from any part of the country and get in touch with operator for general queries related to result or with counsellors for one to one telephonic counselling from 8 am up to 10 pm till June 10.
