Broadway Theatre Project - BTP

Well, it's been too long, but here I am again. We are making an exciting NEW change (as we love to do) and it has taken us awhile to get this going! Folks, we had the blessing this past summer of having the opportunity to host world-renowned, Francis Roach, who is the direct line to the dance technique that Jazz Great Luigi created as he was healing from a crippling car accident. I studied with both Luigi and Francis for years. My early mentor, Henry Parrish, introduced me to this man and his gift to the dance world. Luigi has passed but he also passed the baton to the now master of this technique, Francis Roach. They spent decades working together perfecting Luigi's creation. Then Francis was the man who traveled and still does travel the world to spread this art to actors, singers and dancers. At BTP this summer, many apprentices said that this was the best class taken and they wanted more. Many many ordered CD's and books and this has only happened in a few cases in 27 years. We at BTP hope to have Francis Roach, the man Luigi entrusted this technique with, join the dance faculty as almost all of the instructors have been schooled at some point in their careers in the elegance of this movement. Took a flight to NYC from Tampa the other day.....early morning...... to have breakfast with Austin Pendleton. He is my friend and I would go to the anywhere to sit across a table and listen to him talk, laugh with him and dish with him. We spent 2 1/2 of the most incredibly incredible hours together. He teaches me....everytime I'm with him. He then went his way and I took a cab to LaGuardia and flew back to Tampa. Life was good that day. I love that man.
