Tamia Sital-OU Videos

Videos by Tamia Sital-OU. Hi my name is Tamia. I study Natural Sciences. I would love to someday be a zoologist

Why I want to become the Sustainability Representative;I have a love for nature and animals, that´s why I am studying Natural Sciences. I´m working towards a career in wildlife conservation and zoology. I think the importance of nature, animals and the environment is swooped under a rug. I want people to acknowledge the beauty of nature and preserving our earth in the most efficient and easy way I want to think about the possibilities to make our school more involved in sustainability. To make this information accessible, I want to write blogs and articles and maybe even make video´s to appeal to younger generations. The environment needs to be taken serious now for future generations to come. I don´t want them to to need to fix our mistakes, the same way we need to fix the mistakes of the generations before us.I would like to address multiple issues as I actually only could choose two, I already wrote a multitude of issues I would like to talk about. I would say the plastic problem especially in terms of littering. A big problem is littering on the beach, as it is so harmful for underwater wildlife which eventually affects humans. I would also like to address the food waste in households. Among other things I would also like to write about resource depletion, which is connected to capitalism (another passion of mine to talk about) and biodiversity. There is another subject I would like to bring to light and that is intersectional sustainability. The link is https://www.womankind.org.uk/intersectionality-101-what-is-it-and-why-is-it-important/#:~:text=Intersectionality%20is%20the%20acknowledgement%20that,orientation%2C%20physical%20ability%2C%20etc
