Excited to announce I’ll be playing alongside these wonderful folk at the Miami Winter Music Conference at Mango’s South Beach.

Amsterdam ADE 2023 was unreal this year! I played Friday night and partied the rest DONE! Heard some amazing sets, hung out with my amazing crew, had an absolute blast! So good for the soul. Next year anyone?

Yesterday, I’m proud to announce that I graduated with a Masters Degree (MA) from the - something I never thought would happen in my life. Coming from a background with little interest in education, leaving school with zero qualifications, moving into a career of hairdressing, while all along, continuing to chase my dream of being a music producer, I didn’t even believe this to be possible! What an amazing and unique opportunity I was given, being able to use my life experiences and achievements, all counting towards me being able to take my education, straight to post graduate, MA level learning. This gives me faith in a world that seems to be ever geared towards the privileged few, to know that this is even possible. I’m immensely grateful and want to thank & for making this happen! Next stop - a PHD!! The D in Ramirez will stand for doctor 😎😂

This years Brighton BMC was very special! Thanks to all who came and watched my production presentation for the it was an honour to share my knowledge. Great to see so many familiar faces and to catch up with some of my new and old students. I met some lovely people who were kind enough to come and said hello 😊 Hearing play a house set up in the pod was ace! What a day!

Crate diggin in Soho - There’s gold in them hills! Nothing finer than looking through old vinyl for the nostalgia and for inspiration. Anyone who knows me will testify I’m a huge sampler of anything that makes a sound 😂

Here’s my recording chain for my own vocals….. I’m fortunate to have a collection of gear which has taken me many years to put together which I know inside out. Neumann U-87 into a Universal Audio LA 610 MK11 preamp and compressor into a Neve 1073 (copy) EQ is just lovely. However, for my album i recorded most of myself in lockdown with a Slate VMS ML-1 modelling mic at home when I couldn’t get into the studio which sounds great! Remember - just use whatever you’ve got and don’t think you need all the best gear otherwise you’ll never get started!

Recently I’ve been getting into modular (lots of head scratching and following of wiry noodles!) and it’s a lot of fun. However, I’ve been known to spend a day making just one sound which is one of the downsides (I’m still not that good at it) How many of you have got into modular and what’s your experiences?

Tonight is the night where the amazing class of Creativity Unlocked get to be play their tracks to the A&R as well as playing them for the first time to each other. This is BIG and I cannot wait to hear the final results of all their hard work! Bring forth the beats!

Tomorrow - Friday 18th Nov, I’ll be joining the ladies at Toolroom HQ for the for ‘We Are Listening’. I’ll be doing a live session all about vocals!

Absolutely heartbroken to hear of my dear friend passing. I absolutely love that lady and I just can’t believe she’s gone 😰 We shared so many fun times together. We were both residents for while she was still in london and we worked together on projects and music over the years. She was one of a kind, a unique soul who made such an impact on everyone she met. Beautiful and talented and funny and intelligent. There’s a Jannette shaped hole in my broken heart 💔

Back on that very chair tonight for the amazing Creativity Unlocked with the and …. we are now at the arrangement stage of our journey, putting our beautifully crafted creations together for the final result!
