Hi! My name is Jessica Schoen, and I am the music teacher at Harmony Music Lessons. I was very lucky that my love of music began at a young age. I began taking piano lessons at the age of 7 with the Music for Young Children program, and while I also always enjoyed singing around the house, it was when I joined my elementary school choir that I realized singing was what I truly loved.

For eight years, I took voice lessons and participated in vocal competitions in my hometown of North Bay, where I won various awards for my musical accomplishments; among them: the North Bay Symphony Orchestra Bursary Award, and the North Bay Symphony Orchestra Concerto Competition Award. I also performed at numerous events, from concerts with international vocalists, to charity functions, to NHL hockey games. From there, I went on to study and graduate from the University of Ottawa with a Bachelors degree in Voice Performance.
Following that, I attended the Randolph Academy for the Performing Arts, in Toronto, where I trained in singing, acting and various forms of dance; earning my Diploma in Musical Theatre. For the past three years, I have been teaching both private voice, piano, & musical theatre vocal lessons, as well as working around the GTA as a singer and a film and musical theatre actor.

I am so excited to meet you and share my love of music with my community here in Oshawa!
