1. Take a brisk walk

Depending on how much time you have available, we recommend allotting 30 – 60 minutes to performing these four actions.
To ensure you stick to your daily morning routine, we highly recommend writing your routine down and posting it somewhere you’ll see it often.

Healthy cooking
A vegan diet is already a very healthy choice, but by cutting out sugar and oil you are even more kind to your body. This is especially important if you’re trying to reverse a disease.
Today's Recipe
Millet Tabbouli
Ingredients
125 gms (or 1.5 small tea cups) foxtail millet, whole grains (kangni/korra/navane/thinnai)
75 gms cucumber
150 gms red tomato
30 gms onion
15 gms fresh coriander leaves
15 gms mint (substitute some of the herbs with parsley if you can find it)
12 garlic cloves
1/2 tsp rock salt
1/4 tsp ground black pepper
1/2 green chilli
2-4 tsp freshly squeezed lime juice
1/2 tbsp black sesame
Method
Cook the millet grains in 1.5-2 times water, till firm to the bite. Do not overcook to avoid the grains becoming mushy. Chop the vegetables fine and mix with the spices, crushed garlic and the cooked millet. Serve with hummus. Tabbouleh is a Middle Eastern salad dish that is traditionally prepared with bulgur (broken wheat). Pad Thai
Ingredients
1 tbsp minced garlic
1 cup jasmine rice stir fry noodles immersed in boiling water for 2-4 min.
1 tbsp date paste
1 cup bean sprouts
3 tbsp chopped peanuts
3-4 scallions, diagonally cut into 1″ pieces
lime wedges and fresh cilantro for garnish
1 cup chopped veggies
Method
Heat a large wok on high heat.
Add the garlic and stir fry until light brown – do not burn.
Add veggies and stir fry for 3-5 minutes adding the ones that take longer to cook first until they are all cooked but still firm.
Add noodles, separating them slightly with fork to prevent sticking.
Reduce heat and add date paste, stirring and tossing the noodles well to combine.
Add bean sprouts and chopped peanuts and serve immediately with lime and cilantro.

Baked Falafel
Ingredients
2 cups chickpeas (soaked overnight)
½ cup finely chopped onion
3 garlic cloves minced
½ cup sesame seeds
1 1/2 cup finely chopped coriander and mint leaves (parsley is optional)
1 green chilli
¾ tsp. salt
2 tsp. ground cumin
1 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. ground coriander
¼ tsp. ground black pepper
½ tsp. cayenne pepper
Method
Run the soaked chickpeas through a food processor. Blend onions, garlic, sesame seeds, parsley, salt, cumin, baking powder, coriander, black pepper, and cayenne pepper and let stand for an hour. Form into 1” balls flatten slightly and steam till cooked. You will know that they are cooked when the easily come off the steamer without sticking to it or breaking. Now bake at 200 C on a baking tray for a few minutes till brown and then turn over so that both sides get brown and crispy.
Alternatively bake the falafel instead of steaming. Turn over and bake the other side too.
Variation
Baked falafel can be made into a meal by wrapping them in amaranth/ whole wheat wraps with assorted vegetables and mayonnaise or other dips like babaganoush.
Makes about 25-30 falafels
Contrary to what you hear,there is a cure for diabetes. But to solve any problem, we must first understand the cause-and then remove it.
The cause of diabetes is not lack of medication. The cause of diabetes is not sugar and carbohydrates.
The cause of diabetes is insulin resistance and/or lack of insulin. Hence,the usual advice that most diabetics follow of cutting down carbohydrates and sugar and taking more medication does not work.
We need to address the cause, first and foremost.
My wife reversed her diabetes two and half years ago. No more medication.
