Take note there is a Range Officer Training course on this Sunday so get in early (9-10:30) or delay a week.

NOTICE FOR RANGE USERS: This weekend the Branch is running Range Officer training courses. On the Sunday, the 50m and 100m shooting platforms will be in use by trainees from about 10.30am, this needs to take preference over normal range use. If you intend to use the range this weekend, we recommend you arrive early (9am) and be prepared to finish by 10.30am when the trainees move onto the range. Thanks for your understanding.

We are proposing to run Range Officer (RO) courses on both 25th and 26th February2023. We urge all members as yet unqualified, to complete this course, as under new legislation, if no qualified RO is available on duty, the range will not be able to open. The all new HUNTS manuals arrived today! If you’re taking part in an upcoming course, you’ll receive one of these.

The HUNTS syllabus covers the knowledge and skills necessary to operate safely as a hunter in the outdoors, teaching the ethics of fair chase and principles of managing a sustainable game resource.
