Spokane Bike Swap
The Spokane Bike Swap was initiated by the Spokane County Commute Trip Reduction.
A group of volunteers was formed to promote this non-profit event with the idea to contribute in the community through bicycling and promote a healthy lifestyle.
Did you know that the Spokane Bike Swap has a grant program? In addition to providing access to affordable bikes, the Spokane Bike Swap is also committed to providing funding to programs and organizations that have a meaningful impact on our community and region through the SBS Grant Program. If you are a startup, small business, organization, or an individual that can benefit from locally derived funding, we encourage you to apply for the Spokane Bike Swap Grant Program. https://spokanebikeswap.com/Grants.aspx
It's Smoke Ready Week, before you get out and ride it's always a smart idea to check out the current air quality! There are tools available to help you access the current Air Quality Index (AQI). Checking the AQI can help you make the best health decisions for you and your family. Conditions can change rapidly during wildfire smoke episodes. Check for hourly updates at Spokane Clean Air or the Washington Smoke Blog.
Did you know that this is Week! Wildfire season is approaching. We cannot predict how much smoke we may get, but we can be prepared. Each day this week we will feature ways to protect your health from smoke and why it is important.
