ASEAN STORES AVOIDING TAX
The *attached eftpos receipts* is for a sale of K1,034.30. He requested for a Cash back of K200. So the total he expect was K1234.30.
On the receipts Sale should be K1034.30 plus cash back of K200. But instead they recorded K34.30 as sale and cashback of K1200.00.
So when the shop owner submit sales returns to IRC for GST. He is reducing his sales by K1000 hence stilling K100 (10%GST) payable to IRC on this sale. Imagine all the other sales everyday.
This is how Chinese shops avoid GST and other Tax in PNG.
check your receipts every time you shop in a Chinese shop!
