Giving Day 2024 is Today!

Today March 6, the University of Maryland, College Park is participating in Giving Day! Giving Day is an opportunity to donate to different organizations across campus to help them achieve their missions. In partnership with the Office of Fraternity & Sorority Life, you can donate to the Eta Epsilon Chapter to fund a scholarship for our undergraduate chapter members! The more money raised, the more they are able to promote scholarship and allow students to focus on being students by lifting some of their load. Their organization can also receive monetary prizes from the university by participating in challenges listed at givingday.umd.edu/prizes. Look out for more information from us and from on Instagram now to see what has been done already today. It's not too late to give.

All the things that have been taken away from people of color over the years and we always find a better way.

They took away drums and we created steel drums from pots and pans.

They took away our religion and we made a religion with their religion.

They took away our freedom and we created hairstyles to map out our way to freedom.

We now stand in many gaps, places of power, and positions of influence to let a ruling hold us back. We will find a way to not be further ostracized and left out. In this day and time it would be hard to with more Black Governors, more Black CEOs and a host of people of color recognizing the goodness in all people and having diversity in their schools and organizations.
