Sleeping on the right side!
According to oriental medicine, whether it is Indian, Chinese, Tibetan or Thai, the left side of the body is totally different from the right side. Even some Buddhist monastic traditions include in their precepts for monks sleeping on their left side. Although it may seem strange to rest and sleep on your left side, there are many health benefits.
Lymph flowing to the left
The left side of the body is the dominant side of the lymph system. Most of the lymph is flushed down the thoracic canal, located on the left side. On its path, the lymph transports proteins, glucose metabolites, and waste that are purified by the lymph nodes to be drained to the left side.
Derived from the above, it is common to infer in Oriental medicine that diseases on the left side of the body can be caused by chronic congestion of the lymphatic system.
The priorities of the body.
According to Ayurveda, congestion occurs in the body according to certain priorities. If the lymphatic system is coagulated, the liver and blood are saturated with toxins. The main symptoms of congestion appear on the left side of the body before moving to the right side where they appear later on.
Lazy after a meal?
Indian suggestion is that if you take a break after eating, you do it by lying down on your left side. Nap time should not exceed 10 minutes and is different from an afternoon nap which usually lasts 20 minutes or more.
Stomach and pancreas hanging on left side When you lie down on the left side, they both hang naturally, allowing for optimal and effective digestion. Food is brought to move naturally in the stomach and pancreatic enzymes are secreted progressively and not all at once, which happens if you lie on the right side.
When you lie on the left side, liver and gallbladder hang on the right side. Resting on their left side allows them to suspend and secret their precious enzymes in the digestive tract, emulsifying fats and neutralizing gastric acids.
When the digestive system is stimulated like this, your digestive cycle is shorter and doesn't leave you drowsy for the rest of the afternoon. Do the 10 minute rest test on your left side after eating.
Feel energetic and not tired after eating.
Try to eat relaxed at noon and remember to rest on your left side and check that you will feel more energetic and with better digestion.
The magic of sleeping on the left side.

The small intestine evacuates toxins through the ileo-caecal valve (VIC) on the right side of the body at the beginning of the large intestine. The large intestine goes down the right side of your body, through your stomach and onto your left side.
Thanks to VIC, sleeping on your left side allows gravity to more easily stimulate body waste in the large intestine from the small intestine.
As the night passes and you continue to sleep on your left side, the trash will move easier down the downward column and morning disposal will be easier.
Best heart function .
More than 80% of the heart is located on the left side of the body. If you sleep on the left side, the lymph drained to the heart will be driven by gravity, training your heart to work while you sleep.
The aorta, which is the body’s largest artery, leaves the upper part of the heart and shifts toward the left before going down into the abdomen. By sleeping on the left side, the heart pumps blood more easily to the descending aorta.
Sleeping on the left side allows the intestines to move away from the cavity vein that transports blood to the heart. In particular, the vein rests on the right side of the spine, so when you lie down on the left side, the visins move away from the vein. Once again gravity makes the heart work easier.

The spleen is part of the lymphatic system and is also found on the left side of the body. Its function is that of a large lymph node that filters the lymph and also filters the blood. When you lie on the left side, the fluid return to the spinal is easier and occurs more easily by gravity.

I'm doing a cleanse this saturday on the new moon day. Liver Cleanse by Andreas Moritz
"Cleansing of the liver and gallbladder has a long tradition in naturopathy. All ancient cultures were aware of the importance of a healthy liver. Andreas Moritz had many health issues in his youth. Due to his own sickness he studied ancient and traditional methods of liver cleansing and improved them with success.
The liver cleansing by Andreas Moritz takes six days to prepare, followed by a main phase of 16-20 hours. It is recommended to perform the cleanse in the new moon.
The liver cleanse by Andreas Moritz is a kind of fasting. During a six day period, a liter of apple juice per day should be consumed throughout the day. On the evening of the sixth day, the fasting person should take two glasses of water with Epsom salt. Before going to sleep the fasting person takes freshly squeezed grapefruit juice and olive oil. The next day, one takes a further two portions of Epsom salt. It is advisable to repeat the treatment at least six times with an interval of four weeks. The apple juice can be replaced with malic acid.
Experience shows that the treatment has usually a soothing effect and gives a feeling of lightness, energy growth and vitality. Additionally, Moritz recommends a colon cleansing prior to and after the liver cleanse in order to flush stones that are left in the intestinal folds.
For the liver cleanse by Andreas Moritz you will need the following ingredients:
1) 6 l organic apple juice
2) 4 tablespoons of Epsom salts dissolved in ¾ liter of water
3) 120 ml of cold pressed virgin olive oil
4) Fresh grapefruits, enough to fill a glass to 2/3. Another option is freshly squeezed lemon or orange
5) 1 sealable vessel
Eve of preparation period
E***a to relieve the intestine.
Preparation
1 liter of apple juice daily for the duration of 6 days. During the entire preparation time as well as during the liver cleanse cold foods should be avoided. In addition, avoid all non-vegetarian foods, dairy products and fried foods, alcohol or sumptuous meals. Medications that are not absolutely necessary, and dietary supplements should be avoided during the cleaning. It should not be eaten after 7 o clock.
On the 6th day you can still eat a light breakfast (oatmeal for example). For lunch, eat boiled or steamed vegetables with basmati rice, seasoned with unrefined sea or rock salt. It is very important not to take any proteins or animal products. After 2 o clock you are not allowed to eat any more. You can drink water or tea.
The colon cleansing in my Natural Health Center in Heidelberg supports the liver cleanse. It is ideal to carry out a colon cleansing on the 6th day of the preparation, to avoid unpleasant symptoms during the main phase. The Colon Hydro Therapy is the quickest and easiest way to prepare for the liver cleanse. E***as are not as effective as the colon cleansing.
The main phase: The liver cleansing and excretion
4 tablespoons of Epsom salts dissolved in 720 ml of water, to drink in four portions (180 ml per glass). One of the main tasks of Epsom salts is to make the bile ducts wider, allowing the stones to glide through easily. Moreover, it cleans waste products that can hinder the excretion of stones.
Drink the first two portions between 6-8 P.M.
9:30 P.M. No bowel movement? Perform an e***a
9.45 P.M. Press one grapefruit or alternatively 1 orange and 1 lemon; the juice is placed in a sealable vessel or glass. Add 120 ml of olive oil. Shake this until the solution is watery.
10 P.M. Stand next to your bed (do not sit down!) and drink the solution quickly, ideally at a time, and in no more than 5 minutes. Lie down with elevated upper body (use 1 or 2 pillows), or alternatively, pull to the right side and the knees towards your head. Stay in this position for at least 20 minutes absolutely calm and steer attention to your liver. Go to sleep.
6 A.M. The next day (Day 7), drink the third portion of the dissolved Epsom salts. Gymnastics or yoga is recommended. If you are tired, return to bed.
8 A.M. Last portion of the dissolved Epsom salts.
10 A.M. Drink freshly squeezed fruit juice. Half an hour later you can eat one or two pieces of fresh fruit. An hour later you can eat a light meal.
There is a painless elimination of stones, toxins and clumping. Most gallstones are pea green and swim in the toilet because they contain bile. Gallstones can have all sizes, colors and shapes.
On the 2nd or 3rd day after the liver cleanse a second colon cleansing in my Natural Health Center in Heidelberg should be performed to remove gallstones that have remained in the intestine.
Possible adverse effects of the Liver Cleanse by Andreas Moritz:
– Bloating and / or diarrhea during the first days in susceptible individuals
– Nausea or vomiting on the day of liver cleansing or the day after because of a strong and rapid elimination of gallstones and toxins from the liver and gallbladder
– Headache because of detoxification or if the instructions are not followed
Contraindications: Acute diseases, severe constipation (first perform several colon hydro therapies). Apple juice should not be taken if you suffer from diabetes, low blood sugar, yeast infections (Candida), cancer and ulcers. In these cases, apple juice can be replaced with malic acid in capsule form (1500-2000 mg malic acid instead of apple juice). Drink in 2 glasses of warm water in small portions throughout the day.
