Hello reader,
After the success of months of lessons with my first student, I have decided to take on more. Whether you've stumbled upon this page by accident or been directed from a friend or post, I am Robert Hucknall and I'm currently a student at Queen Elizabeth School, Kirkby Lonsdale. Music has been the main part of my life for over a decade and in this time I've studied it in many forms, but over the past few years I've taken particularly to the drums and the guitar.
Along with my great interest in music came a desire to share it with others, I play in a multitude of bands and ensembles, and more recently I've started to teach music as well. I've had previous experience through assisting with climbing sessions at ingleton climbing wall and teaching maths to a secondary school student, and now months of experience teaching drums to six year old Ellie. She has progressed massively and a real sense of rhythm is starting to emerge, and I know that she will continue to build on this. I'd love to welcome more students, young or old to come and learn as well.
Given my relatively short time with this venture, I have decided not to charge the industry standard of £30/hour but instead work at £20/hour, although normally only for half an hour per week which is a significantly less costly investment than a regular peripatetic teacher. I'm also happy to reduce this further if finance would be an issue, please just ask.
However I do not feel that the service I offer is by any means substandard, and I'm sure the people who I've taught in the past/present would be happy to confirm the quality of my teaching.
