As many of you know, I was pregnant with our third child and was due around Christmas. She suddenly passed earlier this week at 39 weeks and I delivered her beautiful body on Wednesday.
We had smoothest labor situation possible with very little pain and a lot of support from friends and family.
The final report is not in, but the initial cause is due to uncommon thickened scar tissue on the umbilical cord that suddenly stopped blood flow on Tuesday. There was no sign that it was an on going issue. No way to have known. Nothing we could have done. Not caused by anything we did or didn’t do.
God is so good. In our grief we feel loved and blessed and we know this was always God’s plan: For Ember Gloria to radiate His glory, just as her name means.
We appreciate your prayers.

**If you’re on the fence, doing a first look does help calm nerves, gives you a special time together before the ceremony and gives you more time to enjoy time with your friends and family at the reception.

Music tip for your ceremony:
You do not need to have 3 separate songs during the processional.
If you do that with recorded music, it will feel choppy and there still be a little silence. If you want multiple songs as family, bridal party, and the bride enters, opt for live musicians who can flow to each song even more seamlessly. Or, just choose 1-2 songs of recorded music and have your DJ let you listen to how they will transition. It will make your ceremony feel so smooth.

Hi I’m Lauren Hinrichs! I have a passion for organizing the chaos at weddings and events so you can enjoy your special day.
I believe that every wedding, no matter the budget, should have a coordinator. To make that possible, instead of asking for a set amount, I work with couples on a price that is a percentage of their budget. I want to work with the bride and groom on details leading up to their wedding day so it reflects who they are as a couple.
I assist with: creating the timeline, processing ideas and decisions as needed, connecting the couple to vendors, planning the set up and flow, facilitating the rehearsal, decorating, making flower arrangements, making sure things run smoothly day of, and being the point person for all questions and tasks.
