Motorists in Leeds are taking to Social Media in large numbers after being ‘caught off guard’ with speed cameras
The speed cameras have been positioned on the A64 York Road, with a temporarily reduced speed limit of 30mph.
The speed limit on York Road, in Burmantofts is usually 40mph.
Many motorists are still unaware of the new speed limit and are being caught out in large numbers.
These cameras, one located at the entrance of the tunnels, monitor traffic in both directions, and then one on either side of York Road near to the former Great Clothes store.
Even motorist who are aware of the new speed limit are complaining that they simply do not believe they have broken the limit when receiving a summons.
