Hey everyone!!! I know yβall have been waiting to see my buzz cut video and I promise you itβs coming!!! π₯
Chemo brain is REAL (a real pain in the b***y) so please be patient while I try to make use of this mound of mush in my head. π§ π

π 4.23.24 Update!!! π
π© Today I completed round 9 out of 18 chemotherapy treatments. I am officially halfway through chemo! ππΌπ₯³ππΌ
π©Ί My symptoms are still very minimal. Iβve been fatigued, have constant nose sores that bleed when I blow my nose, some weakness (no pain) in my knees, blurry visionβ¦ Fingers crossed this will continue to be my experience, Iβve been extremely lucky to have been feeling relatively normal throughout this journey! π€πΌππ»π€πΌ
βΌοΈβ‘οΈ A heads up! Iβm seriously considering shaving my head soon, maybe even tonight! My fundraiser has reached the $1000 goal to share a video of me getting my head shaved. We still have just under $400 to go to reach the goal for going LIVE. However - Iβm not sure I can wait any longer! What I do have left of my hair is very uncomfortable and Iβm feeling like Iβm ready to rock the GI Jane look. My current look is closer to Cynthia from Rugrats - fair warning to whoever sees the video! ππ
π€£
β’ Yesterday was chemo number 8 out of 18 - Iβm almost halfway through my chemotherapy treatments! ππΌππΌππΌπ
β’ Iβve been feeling good other than some weakness in my knees (no pain luckily), fatigue, bloated belly and swollen face from all the meds. πͺπΌπ
β’ My hair clippers will arrive in the mail today! βοΈ
β’ The head shaving challenge is going well - Itβs up to $1580 so I will be posting a video! If we can reach $2000 by 4/25 I will go LIVE! ππ»π€πΌ

Hello Everyone! It's been a while since I've posted an update and I'm feeling like today is a good day for a quick one! π
I wanted to share some photos of the haircut that my wonderful friend Alysse Barstow did for me a few weeks ago to soften my hairless transition. It's been lovely feeling like a woodland faerie with my pixie cut and experimenting with new hairstyles and makeup techniques. π§ββοΈ
Also, I thought it might be fun to play around a bit with different methods of having my page and gofundme shared to have my goal met! So far, your donations have replaced my income, eased my worries, and made my life and my families lives much more stress-free. Thank you all so much for your generosity and encouragement! My team has raised $3,899 out of $25,000! Let's keep it going! π
Here is the challenge:
Like and share this page - the more people this page will reach, the more successful my fundraiser will be.
Post/share in groups which may be more relevant or have higher probability of donation.
Please donate if you are able.
π If this challenge results in $1000 worth of new donations over the next 2 weeks (by midnight April 24, 2024) I WILL POST A VIDEO OF MY DAUGHTER SHAVING MY HEAD! π½π

Hey guys!
π© Today I started my 2nd (out of 6) cycle of treatment. Since it is the first treatment of the cycle, I received my immunotherapy Keytruda as well as my 2 chemo meds, Taxol and Carboplatin. The next 2 weeks I will only receive the two chemo meds and will have a break from the immunotherapy meds. My bloodwork has been great. Today my oncologist measured my tumor and he had a hard time finding the edges of it- because it has shrunk down so much! I'm having excellent, rapid results from my treatments and strangely enough, I started to notice a decrease in size after only 2 treatments or about 1.5 weeks! π₯³
π I'm still feeling pretty normal, other than some fatigue and very dry nose that will bleed whenever I blow my nose. I've been getting in some extra naps here and there. The past 2 days my head has been extremely sensitive and my hair has started to shed more and more. I had no idea that losing hair would involve feeling physical sensations so that was a bit of a shock to me. I am having a burning and tingling feeling at my crown, kinda like when you have a bad cowlick and your scalp is sore from your hair being out of place for so long. Or when you have your hair in a ponytail for too long and it makes your head tender. Overall though, I feel very lucky to have such minor symptoms considering the potential side effects I could experience. ππ€
π§ββοΈ I'm considering cutting my hair down short to reduce the discomfort I am feeling from my scalp being so tender. If anyone has any suggestions on what I could do for a short maybe pixie-style haircut or something similar, please feel free to post pics or message me photos for ideas because I have no clue and could use the help! And then of course, if I end up losing more hair I will have to buzz it off GI Jane style. Y'all can feel free to call me GI Jane at that point, if you'd like... I wouldn't take offense to that but I can't promise you that Alex Brennan won't pull a Will Smith and give you a Wild Wild West style smack down. π
π€£
π₯° Thanks again to everyone following my journey, your kind words, and generous donations! I appreciate it all more than I know how to express, but I just want everyone to know that y'all are doing so much to keep my spirits lifted and hopes high. Everyone has been so sweet and I cherish every single kind word of encouragement, prayer, uplift, etc... Y'all are keeping my fire burning bright! πͺβ€οΈβπ₯
π Please share my GoFundMe post- The more shares, the more people it will reach and hopefully I can meet my goal to replace my income during my treatment! π

Nicole E. Olie's Rare-type Metaplastic Breast Cancer Journey I'm Nicole, I've been diagnosed with a rare type of Metaplastic Squamous Cell BC (0.1% of BC cases).
π 2.12.24 (Iβm sharing this a day late) but this is me getting started on my 3rd treatment. No photo filter this time.
π₯ The plan is for me to have 18 weeks of treatment, on a 21-day cycle. Day 1/21 I get all 3 medications including 2 chemotherapy meds Taxol + Carboplatin, as well as an immunotherapy Pembrolizumab. Days 8 and 15 I get the 2 chemo meds only. So luckily I only have to spend one morning per week at the hospital getting my treatments.
βοΈ So far, so good! Iβve been experiencing very minimal side effects, with fatigue being the most prominent. I feel very lucky to be avoiding any nausea or digestive side effects so I can maintain my healthy eating habits as well as incorporate more wellness into my daily routine.
ππ« Iβm going to be making my own batch of sea moss gel as soon as my order arrives, the flavor will be blue spirulina and ginger! I will post photos of the process and end result and I may possibly have some extra jars if anyone would like to purchase one for yourself or a friend!
π Thank you so much to everyone who has donated to my GoFundMe and sent gifts from my Amazon wishlist! Yβall are making me feel so loved and appreciated and itβs done wonders for lifting my spirits. Thanks for being on my team and following my warriors journey!

ππ» If yβall could do me a favor and please share this post I would love to gain more followers. I feel itβs important for me to share my journey and hopefully reach others who are going through something similar. Iβm hoping to share more resources, tips, and education to my followers as I venture down this path of healing. Also, if anyone has any questions for me or just wants to reach out, please feel free! Itβs been a joy to craft this community despite the circumstances and Iβm going to make the best of it! Thanks guys! π
We ventured out and found a new trail yesterday morning! The woods is my happy place. βοΈπ
This is just a filter but I thought hot pink hair would be appropriate for my 2nd chemo treatment today ππ
A honey bee landed on me today and then I found another one in the carβ¦ Iβm taking that as a sign for good luck . π―ππ
Mission accomplished! Got my power port in place and woke up feeling bright eyed and bushy tailed! πΏοΈ π
Getting ready to have my port placed today! This will make things so much easier for receiving my treatment, blood draws, etcβ¦ ππ
Hey everyone, it's me again! π
I just wanted to make a post specifically to thank everyone for everything they have done for me. Whether it's loving and kind words of support and encouragement, donating to my GoFundMe, purchasing gifts from my Amazon Wishlist, sharing my posts...
I just want everyone to know how much I appreciate everything, I am blown away by the amount of kindness I've been shown throughout all of this. Y'all are fueling my fire (and I know you all know it's been burning!) π₯π€£
Thank you for believing me and uplifting me and keeping my positivity going! I appreciate it all more than I can even begin to explain. π₯Ήπ₯°

Hey guys - so I have some news to to share with you all. Over the past month or so, Iβve been undergoing a variety of medical testing and finally have some answers. Unfortunately Iβve been diagnosed with Stage 2A Squamous Cell Breast Cancer. Although breast cancer is becoming more and more common, the type Iβve developed is a very rare type, occurring in only 0.1% of breast cancer cases.
Monday I was seen for a second opinion at Dana Farber in Boston as well as to contribute to their research, as they are the leading edge of cancer treatment and research. I started my treatment Tuesday 2/27 to get my healing process started quickly. Once my treatment is completed, I will have a double mastectomy surgery with reconstruction to eliminate the possibility of having to go through this again.
If anyone would like to reach out please understand that Iβm dealing with a lot right now and will respond to everyone as my energy levels will allow. I will also be posting updates here, so be on the lookout for those.
I truly appreciate all the loving words and kindness that I've received since sharing this information on my personal page. I cannot thank everyone enough and I want you all to know that you are fueling my hope and strength with all your encouragement! It means the world to me.
Iβm ready to dive in head first, fight my fight, and come out stronger than ever on the other side of this. Not to mention with a brand new pair of girls that arenβt trying to kill me. ππ πͺπΌ
