Today we honor William Allen Breedlove Jr of Knoxville, Tennessee, who passed away on this day in 2018. William served in the Marine Corps and is remembered by his wife, Janice:
"Called by his middle name, Allen joined the Marines and went to boot camp at Parris Island after High School. He was in Vietnam by October, 1967, and in the village of Khe Sahn during the initial attack. He participated in operations in the Quang Tri Province during his second tour, 1969-1970. He received the Purple Heart medal while in Vietnam. He retired after 24 years of service. He was inducted into the In Memory Program in 2023.
He will be forever loved and missed by his wife, two daughters, son, three granddaughters, and grandson."
