Our 3rd grade thinkers have really enjoyed our library picks from our friends at the Saltville Public library. They are great at picking out books! Stop by and see them! Teacher friends just give them an idea or a theme and they will do the rest!

Our Pre-K class enjoyed showing their creativity and imagination through this fun activity based on one of our favorite books.

What they didn't realize is, they also practiced concepts such as:
-Understanding ideas and information in text
-Learning how letters and print work to create words
-Learning and engaging in conversational interactions
-Using visual art media to express thoughts.

It's not just a walk in the corn. Our Maze has 15 checkpoints spread out over the 5 acres. Each checkpoint has a farm related clue for the crossword puzzle. Each checkpoint is marked on the map. But wait there is more. Again, this year we added an extra challenge for you. We have 5 signs that are not marked on the map for you to find. So be sure to keep your 👀 open this year.

RVES celebrated Grandparents’ Day this week. We had a great turn out. We loved having the opportunity to celebrate such loving and caring people. ❤️ Thank you all for coming.

Come join us for our first celebration of Fall at the Folklife Center! (The old Mount Rogers Combined School.) Shop with local craftsman, enjoy some food, fun and mountain music, and support our efforts to breathe new life into Mount Rogers School! Festivities kick off at 9 a.m. and will wrap up around 5 p.m. Hope to see you there!

This group of boys received a perfect score of 600 on an SOL test for the 2022-2023 school year. We are very proud of them for this accomplishment. Go Panthers!

Also, a big shout out to Ms. Broyles in 4th grade for having 100% pass rate on the VA Studies SOL last year.

🎉 Our PreK celebrated being Superhero friends by making their very own mask!

A vital part of PreK is learning positive social skills and all of our friends have demonstrated multiple ways to be a Superhero Friend the past two weeks.
