Dear friends and family, on 6/30/22 my mother, Brigitte Vater, was able to peacefully let go in her sleep after her long battle with dementia. She has been an inspiration to so many. Her unshakeable faith and hope, her incredible talent for art and music (yes, this is her work in this post), her sense for justice, and her love for all of God‘s creation is never forgotten and continues in her three granddaughters.
A memorial service will be held in August in Bremen. Exact date TBD. Rest easily Mom! You did an amazing job, raised the bar, and truly inspired everyone you met. Thank you Mom. Love, always Jan.

2021 has been a year of good byes. My heart broke this morning when I learned that God called our Brother William home last month. The world truly is a colder and darker place without this extraordinary man of faith. His kindness and love for all of God’s children was and will remain unmatched. I promise to do everything to keep the light he carried so effortlessly alive. Today, my heart is aching and my head hangs low. Tomorrow, I will continue the good fight. Rest easy my brother. Thank you for your love, your kindness, your faith, and your inspiration. Rest easily King! Until we meet again.
