I used to watch the Grammy’s when I was a kid, thinking I’d be on that stage, one day I’d make it big.
The years have passed and that still hasn’t come to be, when I watch them now I’m feeling insecurity.
When I was young I’d beat box riding in the car, people would say that kind of s**t won’t take you far.
Back then the sounds I made did not possess a name.
It was years before J.T and Timba hit the game.. wiggy wiggy
I love the 70’s , I love the 80’s too, I lived through both decades but didn’t have a clue.
Just how much things would change within the industry.
Nobody’s selling records, when downloads are free.
I’ve never been a glass, half empty kind of guy, but my glass is running low and my throat is dry.

I lived my life always believing I would be, personifying the music inside of me.
The world would know my name and music that I sing.
And I’d be humbled knowing the joy that they’d bring.
But time would pass and living life got in the way.
The dreams I dreamt would never see the light of day.
So now I have a greater sense of urgency, through my truth I am rewriting my destiny.
They say you only get one chance in your life, and if you blow it…
I say why let others dictate your path, if you know it.
