Thank you to the faculty who joined us for Faculty Pub on Friday! It was a beautiful afternoon in Circle Park for our campus community to gather for good food, conversation, and networking.

As the end of the academic year approaches, I want to take this to recognize the contributions of our faculty, and staff who are committed to empowering our students to reach their academic and personal goals. Their dedication is the cornerstone of UT's academic excellence!

On Wednesday, we hosted the 2024 Volunteers of Distinction Awards. We had the privilege of celebrating the academic accomplishments of 435 undergraduate and graduate students who received their degrees in Fall 2023 or will graduate in Spring or Summer 2024.

These students have excelled in their graduate or undergraduate career at UT, and represent outstanding academic achievement, excellence in teaching, innovative research, and impactful community service. We are proud of their accomplishment and know that their future will be bright!

Earth Month is the perfect opportunity to recognize and celebrate UT's Office of Sustainability. The Office of Sustainability’s role is to foster sustainable development and promote social and environmental responsibility by providing services that reduce waste, consumption, food insecurity, greenhouse gas emissions, and water and soil pollution. Their efforts represent part of UT's commitment to positively impact the economic, social, human, and environmental landscape of Tennessee, the nation, and the world.

As the state’s flagship R1 public university, graduate education is integral to all aspects of our mission. From training tomorrow’s teachers and researchers to producing scholarship, research and creative activity that make life and lives better, our graduate programs produce the thought leaders and innovators that our society needs.

Thank you to all the faculty and staff that joined us for the 25th edition of Mic/Nite last night! It was a great evening celebrating over a decade of sharing ideas and exploring research taking place across campus!

So grateful for the Denbos' support of The Denbo Center for Humanities & The Arts! The humanities weave together the fabric of critical thinking, empathy, and cultural understanding, which is critical to solving the complex issues facing our community, the state of Tennessee, and the world.

Congratulations to UT's Therapeutic Recreation students who achieved a 94.4% pass rate on the National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification exam, significantly surpassing the national average of 77.8%. Well done, Vols!
