Reposted from I asked on my story what is your favourite place in the world and a lot of people responded with South Africa (there’s no place like home, right?), but I think for me it’s this spot in Lesotho. I absolutely loved exploring this country. It’s so completely different than South Africa which blew my mind considering that it’s completely landlocked by South Africa. The people here were also really friendly and I felt genuinely safe wherever I went. I’m already looking forward to the next time I get to visit this Mountain Kingdom 💚💙🖤 photo taken by and edited by me! .

Repost from - Not many countries can say that their traditional dress is a blanket. The Basotho blanket is a very common sight in the kingdom of Lesotho, often with colourful patterns. The blanket is not only used to protect the Basotho against the cold, but is also worn as a status symbol and cultural identification. Almost entirely made of wool, they protect very well against the harsh cold winter.

Repost from On the edge of eternity🌍

After kicking off our road trip through South Africa with a 4 day backpacking stint through the mountains of Drakensberg, , and I headed out in search for this beautiful giant in the heart of Lesotho. A small country inside of South Africa, getting into Lesotho was an interesting journey in it of itself. Long winding drives through crazy towns and no cell service or hotels in sight. Although the journey was half the battle, the destination took our breath away🌍 Thanks for snagging the shot of me 😍

Extreme activities flourish in Lesotho because there is non other like 🇱🇸🐴🏇Repost from - 7-Days of hard riding - described as one of the most challenging multi-day horse rides in the world - these riders took it all in their stride!! Well done to everyone who rode and of course to our superstar Basotho ponies whose excellent footwork on these tricky mountain trails never ceases to amaze 🐴 Here’s a few snapshots of our marvelous week - Instagram unfortunately only lets you post 10 photographs at a time but hopefully this gives you some idea of how special this ride is. Riding through Lesotho is incomparable to anything else - vast open plains, rocky ridge lines, steep grassy slopes, flowing rivers, cascading waterfalls, accommodation in rural villages, more stars in the sky than you can ever imagine, donkeys braying while the sun goes down - it is simply one of the most unique experiences one can have. All headed by our well oiled machine of a team at Khotso Lodge and Horse Trails 🥳
