Saturday Early Day Thoughts:

I grew up in the '70s, and back when Saturday morning cartoons were a thing, there was a commercial that was so impactful it still lives within me today. This commercial was to convince people not to litter and to "Keep America Beautiful." What a concept; why would we need to convince people not to litter and destroy the natural beauty of their environment? Not to destroy and poison the land? This never made sense to me, so for me, the Indian riding upon his horse along the side of a road as a car speeds past tossing their fast food trash from the window as it spews all over the ground at the feet of the horse as I watched his tears roll down his cheeks resonated with me. I was only 7, but the impact of this commercial was so profound that every time I see liter along the side of the road callously tossed, I feel his tears with a great interstanding and knowing.

If we are not conscious beings, we live without regard for humanity or the world in which we live. Being cognoscente of the longer-reaching consequences of our actions is lost when our connections to each other and our environment become severed. We have become a society of self in the machine. We thrive when we are connected to nature and our environments thrive. When we are connected to the machine, our focus is narrowed, and all we can see is desires for self. Without a connection to the real world, we lose our humanity; it becomes absorbed within the machine.

Our humanity is the essence of our Creator, the Spirit that is within. If we lose our humanity, we lose our connection to the source of all life and become empty vessels and destroyers of our world.

One only needs to look around at the poisons we hate yet still support by purchasing and using them to see the downward decline of our world.

The other day, I found dead or dying honey bees scattered across the ground like tossed pebbles, their life force stolen by the callous disregard of the use of w**d killer. As I walked, the more bees I saw, the more anger churned within my heart until the frustration grew, and I could feel the tears welling in my eyes. The inconvenience of a plant deemed unnecessary destroyed hundreds of life-giving honey bees, poisoned the ground, the water table below, the trees which provide oxygen, and ourselves. Yet, knowing this, we continue to purchase and use these poisonous products.

We are making ourselves sick, destroying our quality of life, and shortening our lives. When is it enough? When do we become conscious beings, return to our humanness, and care for our world and each other?

Honey bees are an intricate part of our ability to thrive in our environment; without them, the chain effect of mass extinction becomes a real possibility.

There are no unnecessary plants. They may be inconvenient in one's manicured "keeping up with the Jone's" lawn, but unnecessary is a fallacy created to sell us unnecessary poisons for a profit. Each plant provides valuable soil nutrients depending on the region's needs. Each region has specific soil needs, so there are different varieties of "w**ds" that feed the ecosystem.

The importance of balance within our ecosystem affects generations; it causes them to flourish or to atrophy and die. What kind of a world do we want? The choice is ours. Do we feed the greed of big corporate poison or learn to live in balance with our world?

Our choices matter!

Just say no more NPC unconsciousness!

Women being mean or cruel to another woman I have never understood … well people being cruel to one another has never made much sense to me.

We all have hopes, dreams, and we all are worthy of respect, love, kindness and joy. We are the same yet wonderfully different which is what makes life so interesting and special.

When we stop judging we are able to embrace others for who they are and what makes them worth knowing. When we learn about each other we find that common ground and are able to truly love thy neighbor.

Words matter, choose them wisely. Stop being dismissive and start being interested. When we practice this we may learn something not only about others but about ourselves and that my friends inspires growth!

Grow like a beautiful flower!
Be kind!
