Rumi earned her DCAT title today, for 500 lifetime Fast CAT points! She gave us 2 more awesome runs, and even got a comment from the photographer "I've photographed thousands of Fast CAT runs, and this is the first time I've seen a malinois run under 7 seconds!"

Rumi will continue to enter events until she goes into heat and is bred to Reaper Furious Days.

Rumi got to go out to a canine Obstacle Course today! She had so much fun, and did a great job learning how to navigate each of the obstacles. This dog is such a thinker, and so confident when trying new things!

Rumi earned her AKC Fetch Novice (FTN) title today! She passed 2 novice fetch tests under 2 different judges! She passed both tests with flying colors, and we both had a great time!

Wow! Rumi is just flying out there!

New FastCAT PB of 6.67 which is 30.67 MPH.

This will now bump her Breed Average for the year from 30.20 MPH to 30.45 MPH still keeping her in 2nd place with the current rankings.

Later today she has two Fetch Tests where I am hoping she will title. She also has just over 400 FastCAT points now, so if she continues to run 30 MPH she will earn her DCAT in 3-4 runs.

I wanted to add that my good friend Kelly has been working with Rumi for quite some time now and I am working on adding her to this page where she will make her posts about Rumi’s accomplishments. (I need to remember my password, so grateful for Face ID but not when I forget my own password.) 😂

There are a lot of things coming up with this awesome girl and we can’t wait to share. ❤️

Rumi had excellent runs again today. No new PB’s but she kept her runs consistent.

Now that she has 3 runs this season she will be ranked on the AKC FastCAT Board after they are processed.

This will give her a new Season Average of 30.20 MPH which with the current rankings will put her at 2nd Place for the Breed.

The Season is still young and there are only 112 dogs currently ranked, but I have a pretty good feeling Rumi might be able to stay in the Top Ten this year! Fingers Crossed. 🩷

Today Rumi got a PB of 6.74 in FastCAT at White Post.

And these were the first 2 runs out of 12.

So I am excited to see how she does on the next ones and hopefully she can place high on the Breed Leader Board for AKC FastCAT. 🥰

Today Rumi had her Official OFA’s done for her Hips and Elbows.

She previously went Good/Normal at 12 months for her Prelims. (sedated).

These were unsedated so positioning is slightly off but hoping for some solid results. Should know in a few weeks.

As long as everything continues to be passing this will round out her CHIC and then her health tested is complete minus yearly eye checks. ❤️

Glad to have these done and now she will continue to earn titles until she goes into heat and is bred to Reaper Furious Days ❤️

Tomorrow this girl goes in for her official OFA’s.

Today she got her Nail Trim and a bath because for the next 10 days she will be busy with my friend Kelly where she will do 12 FastCAT runs, 4 CABT runs and 2 Fetch Tests. Hoping she can earn her DCAT and a Fetch Novice after all of this. 🥰❤️

That is 10 Runs of 600 Yards.

Rumi got two more runs in today for CABT.
As long as she is able to complete both runs tomorrow she will earn her CAA.

Cody was such a big help today too. 🥰

It’s such a good feeling being able to own this incredible breed and still have them be so stable around young children in a high energy environment like Coursing Ability. ❤️

There is always a time and place for everything. And just because a dog isn’t good around kids does NOT make them a bad dog.

But for my goals this is very important to me as my children continue to grow up around this breed while I am building my program.

Today Rumi had her first Barn Hunt Trial.

She qualified in Instinct and earned her RATI.

Because it is just an Instinct test it won’t show up on her pedigree, but…Rumi qualified for 1 Leg in the Novice Division. So after two more qualifying runs Rumi will earn her RATN.

My friend Kelly handled her for me so I could focus on Reaper, and she did so well coming in 3rd place for the Division. And with someone who isn’t her person either.

It really shows how nice a dog is when they will work for someone they haven’t known for very long and still do the job they were asked of.

We are going to take a few lessons before we go back out to trial but I am so excited to start on this journey with her and am so grateful to my friend for handling her for me. ❤️
