Woah!
Bowed psaltery, a chromatic high pitched (bigger ones are played in the lower octaves) string instrument whose origins can be traced back to medieval Europe. These with the triangular bodies were especially popular with the Catholic church as they were associated with the Holy Trinity. Yesterday I ripped all the old strings off, and today got all the new ones on. She sings again!
Ghana djembes, how they can make soo many carved shells, special masters of FAST carving. That soft tweneboa wood is a breeze, with the right tools (and skills) of course.

50,000 Year Old Neanderthal Flute - The World's Oldest Known Musical Instrument
The oldest musical instrument in the world, a 50,000-60,000 year old Neanderthal flute is a treasure of global significance. In 1995 it was discovered in Divje Babe cave near Cerkno, Slovenia. It has been declared by experts to have been made by Neanderthals. The flute is made from the left thighbone of a young cave bear and has four pierced holes. The flute can still be played today and is currently located at the National Museum of Slovenia in Ljubljana.

Miraj, home of the tanpura makers!
Ok, I’m 51 years old, and I was a serious trumpeter, and never saw this video of a most unique trumpet until today, a CONTRABASS TRUMPET. Shaped and triple valves just like a regular trumpet, but gigantic proportions requiring 2 dudes to hold it up for the player. I do wonder where this thing is now.
I am really enthused by this company! THIS is how we should have been making brass players and popularizing classical brass music. Natural horns! No valves at first, playing in groups. Love this.
