As life in the animal kingdom continues we could learn a little about home isolation from bees.
If the Queen bee is an angry bee, the other bees in the hive emulate her personality and temperament. If the queen is nice, the hive should be gentle. If she is nasty the hive will turn nasty.
So stay calm mums, dad's and carers! This is the ideal time to teach the kids (and maybe yourself) how to manage home time. Learn how to cook or grow some food, fix stuff, clean, dance, play, sing, take turns listening to your favourite music, paint, learn about the stars, discover, read - we can learn just about anything through a book or google. Farmers are under pressure right now and if you value fresh, organic food you won't mind paying that little bit extra whenever you can.
I would just like to add that when you're eating an organic, whole foods diet and feeding your body the correct nutrition and nourishment it needs without pesticide interference, that your body becomes more satisfied and will require less food, in particular processed/junk food which, in turn, means you may actually save money (this includes savings on medical treatment including pharmaceuticals). Just some food for thought ☺️👏🍉🥑

In my experience working with clients, sometimes there's that one element that they're lacking that will get them to their target or goal (I'm referring to health goals, of course), and that's PATIENCE.
We don't like going without- We want that perpetual reward - And we want it every day!

Whip yourself up a tub of exfoliating body scrub with ingredients that you already have in the kitchen & save yourself some $$'s!!
• 1 cup fine Himalayan Salt
• 1/2 cup organic Olive Oil
• 10-12 drops of Essential Oil
Blend ingredients together in a clean, dry jar.
After showering and while skin is still damp (best to stay in the shower) scrub arms and legs all over avoiding any wounds or scratches, then rinse off thoroughly.
Your skin will feel smooth & scale-free.
Finish off with your own moisturiser if needed.
⚠️ The oil might make the floor of the shower slippery so tread carefully & be sure to rinse the floor thoroughly when finished. It’s always a good idea to patch test first to ensure that you don’t react and only use skin-safe oils (I’m not a qualified aromatherapist).

Alternatives:- White or brown sugar can be used instead of salt;
Apricot, almond or grapeseed oils can be used instead of olive oil.

My Story

What can a Nutritionist do for you?

From when I was young, deep down I knew and believed that food somehow played an important part in our health and wellness (otherwise why would mother nature provide all the beautiful foods available to us??). Despite not knowing the how’s and the why’s, it wasn’t until I was in my 40’s that I decided to pursue my interest in nutrition. I didn’t have any particular health issue or wasn’t necessarily suffering in any way, it was just an area that I was drawn to for no apparent reason (although when I was in primary school, I worked out pretty quickly that soft drink, milk and too much pasta did not agree with me). Jump ahead, and after 11 years of clinical nutrition experience, I have come to realise that many people are actually sick, lack energy and vitality, and would rather put up with certain health issues or take prescription medicine or pharmaceuticals rather than bothering to investigate changing their diet or making other investments in their health. After many years of investing in my own health and making my own positive changes along the way, I can honestly say that I have more energy now in my 50’s than I had in my 20’s. So, the question is: What can a Nutritionist do for you?

Let’s start with how do you feel right now? Do you jump out of bed in the mornings full of energy and positivity, or do you begrudgingly turn off the alarm feeling tired and fatigued? Maybe you’re battling a health issue that is weighing you down and no matter how hard you try, you can’t seem to find the motivation to eat healthy meals and find yourself giving into your cravings that lead you to make poor food choices? Do you just become angry with yourself but can’t seem to break the cycle? Well, I’m here to help you reach your health goals to LOOK, FEEL AND BECOME HEALTHIER AND HAPPIER!! Yes! It’s absolutely possible Regardless of your current eating style (ie Vegan or Vegetarian) you may need that encouragement, education and understanding to change some bad eating habits so I'm here as your health coach to provide you with the information, motivation and inspiration to promote and maintain optimal health. I believe that food is our medicine, but some so-called foods that aren’t really food, can be our disease.

Being "naturopathically" trained I like to encourage an holistic approach blending diet, lifestyle and other therapies. In-house tests available include basic pH, zinc and thyroid tests. I also offer the Biocompatability Hair Analysis Test which analyses a simple hair sample to produce a report on over 500+ foods and chemicals - this is a great place to start eliminating those foods and household products that you're eating and using that are not compatible with you and are withholding healing potential. I offer various tests including Functional Pathology tests such as Hormone, Metabolic and Nutritional and Food Sensitivity Profiles; Gastrointestinal, Rast and Genetic Diagnosting.
