I have a solid foundation of leadership roles at the local, state, and national levels, coupled with a passion for advocating for educators and students.
I'm as comfortable wielding a bullhorn at a rally as I am speaking with elected officials. I love the outdoors, crafting, and reading. I read about one book per month and almost always fall asleep while reading. I have many, many craft projects in progress - the pile keeps growing. We organized and we *won*!
As Region II VP, I would work to replicate the successes of Woodburn, Silver Falls, Greater Albany ACE, ASK ESP, SKEA, and other locals at bargaining tables around the region.
As of 7:33pm , April 9th, 2024, the SKPS school board voted to accept the 2023-2025 licensed contract.
This is a huge win for our SKEA members. It's the beginning of a change in educational practices within SKPS. We are proud of our bargaining team and members who held the line to make these historic changes. It's because of YOU! Thank you!

UPDATE: We have a tentative agreement! The SKEA Bargaining Team has worked long hours over the past *two* years (yes, they began meeting in 2022!) to make historic gains for our members. Our members showed up to put pressure on the district every time and we will proudly do it again next time.
Our bargaining team is back at it today. Fingers crossed for a settled contract, otherwise we will have a strike date. We have spent a lot of time and energy to get here - we are ready!
