I don't mean to brag, but...

Grammarly says I'm a writing powerhouse. 💅

🤣🤣🤣

According to their data, I was more productive than 93% of Grammarly users, more accurate than 75% of Grammarly users, and used more unique words than 94% of Grammarly users.

This is all news to me and I'm not sure what that says about other Grammarly users. 😅 The Grammar Police would surely put me UNDER the jail if they saw my first drafts.

All jokes aside, the "confident" and "informative" tones made it to the top of my tone list. 💪

A few of my goals this year were to write more (768,389 words since April), create more meaningful content that delivers value, and become more confident in my work.

Practice makes progress, I suppose, and consistency seems to be paying off.

Do you use Grammarly? Did you set any goals for 2024 that you are getting closer to achieving?

P.S. I'm appalled that Grammarly is not taking advantage of their pre-view text under their subject line. 😱

I have the attention span of a carrot. 🥕🙃

I've found it difficult for me to really focus on listening to one thing while doing another. I can't even listen to music while working. I tried lyricless music and found it made me anxious - just waiting for the lyrics to ✨ magically ✨ start. 😅

Which is why I think I've only recently gotten into podcasts. Better late than never, right?

As a creator, it gets hard to come up with idea after idea sometimes, alas, I started my search and tried something new. I was NOT disappointed. Podcasts are a great place to source new content ideas, creative ideas, and business ideas.

Here are 3 podcasts I highly recommend (if that's your thing):

👉 Jay Schwedelson's Do This Not That - The man is HILARIOUS. I have actually found myself laughing out loud on multiple occasions. (Ep. 104 The Lollapalooza/Red Hot Chili Peppers incident... if you know, you know!) He's relatable, and keeps his podcasts short and to the point. He makes marketing fun and is an email marketing ⚡GURU.

👉 Dana Snyder's Missions to Movements - Great for nonprofit marketers, but really, great for everyone. After being in the nonprofit world for over 10 years, I firmly believe every business should "think" like a nonprofit. Their one goal is to help others - a great business model.

👉 Amy Porterfield's Online Marketing Made Easy - I mean, duh. She's the QUEEN of digital marketing. Her podcast is like having a business mentor in your pocket.

A logo is a very powerful tool for your business. It can do a lot of things for you and is a big part of your brand.

But how do you know when you need a logo?

🟡 Are you advertising online?
🟡 Would you like to hand out business cards?
🟡 Do you need to print labels for your products?
🟡 Hosting an event and need to make flyers?

If you answered yes to even one of these questions, then you probably need a logo.

If you want people to easily identify your business, products, ads, prints, social posts - you need a logo to connect their sight with their memory of what your company is known for, and most importantly, how it makes them feel.

What logos do you instantly recognize when you see them?

It probably sounds like a bad Dad Joke, but you can apply this metaphor to what you are currently working on or struggling through.

Will Smith once said, “You don’t set out to build a wall. You don’t say ‘I’m going to build the biggest, baddest, greatest wall that’s ever been built.’ You don’t start there. You say, ‘I’m going to lay this brick as perfectly as a brick can be laid. You do that every single day. And soon you have a wall.”

One brick out of place can bring your whole wall down later. Build your foundation carefully. Take life one day at a time. Breathe.

There are many things for you to consider
when investing in a logo. Designers are often
asked, "How much would you charge me to create a
logo?"

Well, it really depends on your answers to several
questions:

🟡 What's your budget?
🟡 How quickly do you need it?
🟡 Who is your competition?
🟡 Where are you located?
🟡 Who is your target audience?
🟡 What's your style?

A good designer will ask many questions, some you
may not know the answer to and that's ok - because a
good designer will work with you to find the answers
together.
