Amy Bublak
23rd Mayor of Turlock. Striving every day to make our city better. Together we Are Turlock Strong.
Today marks the close of one season and the start of another…
As we reflect on the past year, I am reminded once more of what makes our City special, the people and the community that we do life with every day.
I am grateful to live and lead in a place like Turlock, where we have the best of the earth and the best of each other.
From my family to yours, have a happy and safe New Years' Holiday.
Together we will remain through 2023, and beyond.
Don't be a grinch this New Year's Eve 😂
Instead, make sure that you:
✅ Have fun
✅ Be safe
✅ Connect or reconnect with loved ones
✅ Reflect on 2022 with gratitude
There was a lot to celebrate in the last 12 months, but I believe that 2023 will be even better.
Comment your favorite memory from 2022 below.
Christmas in Turlock is like no other 🎄
If you missed it, here’s a short video recap of the following:
1. The Christmas Parade
2. Snow in Central Park
3. Downtown Lights
Let me know in the comments which one was your favorite memory from Christmas in Turlock this year.
It's Christmas Eve, a time to eat, drink, and begin celebrating with friends and family, both new, and old.
Amidst all of the business of the season, let's all remember to slow down and reflect on that which we have to be grateful for.
And remember that for many, the holidays are a difficult time. Reaching out to someone you know, spending a little time lifting their spirits, or even giving them a call or sending a text can do wonders to spread holiday cheer.
From my family to yours, I wish you a Merry and safe Christmas.
The changing of seasons in our city's elected leadership is not something that I take lightly, which is why each election season the city holds a special swearing-in ceremony during the last regularly scheduled city council meeting of that year.
This is a time for each official elected to count the cost of their commitment, prepare themselves, and publicly promise to serve Turlock ethically and fairly.
I invite everyone who can make it to attend this ceremony tomorrow, as well as a special reception beforehand to honor what we have accomplished together in the past and to celebrate where we are going together in the future.
The details are as follows:
✅ Time: Reception from 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM | Council Meeting to follow
✅ Date: Tuesday, Dec. 13th, 2022
✅ Location: City Hall, 156 S. Broadway, Turlock
I hope to see you there because together we are .
As this year's election cycle has come to an official close, I would like to thank all of those who helped run such a successful campaign.
I am beyond grateful for the opportunity to serve as Turlock's Mayor for another four years, and am deeply touched by the kindness and unity that so many of you have shown throughout the election process.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you to the countless individuals, organizations, and volunteers who came together to make this a success.
Let's continue to fight for, protect, and build a stronger Turlock for our future generations.
Because it's together that we are .
Milt and I are proud of our niece, Amanda Richards, for her performance at the opening of the Syracuse Basketball game this evening.
This is an opportunity that she has not only waited patiently for but has worked hard to prepare for as well.
You did GREAT this evening Amanda, we are proud to see you pursuing your passions and accomplishing great things!
Today is about remembering all that we have to be thankful for, our families, our community, city, and for all who make up Turlock.
Milt and I want to personally thank each and every one of you for the role that you play in making up this community that we call our home. We are so grateful for you Turlock, for the strength, the kindness, and the love that each one of you has shown.
Remember to count your blessings today, and reach out to someone in your life who may need to hear that you are thankful for them.
Because together we are .
It was great to be at the 112th Annual Blue Diamond Meeting For a Sustainable Future today and to hear from current President and CEO Mark Jansen one last time before stepping down.
I appreciate the positive impact that Blue Diamond has had on our local community and am grateful for their contributions to the industry that is so important to our region
This is an exciting time for Turlock High’s Football team as they prepare for their semi-final game coming up!
I encourage everyone to show as much love, support, and encouragement to the players as possible this week. And for those of you who are able, plan to come see them off as they head to El Dorado Hills this Friday at 2:00 PM.
Best of luck Bulldogs, let's show them we are .
Tomorrow is Veteran's Day, a day to join together as a community and intentionally honor and recognize those who have, and currently are, serving in our armed forces.

It was such a pleasure to be a part of making Carter's wish a reality today! Carter is a 7-year-old boy from our community who has fought and beaten leukemia.
Today, I saw a hard-working young man, living his dream surrounded by his community, friends, and family. And it was clear to me that each and everyone was inspired by the strength, joy, and life that they have seen in Carter these last few years.
Thank you to all of those who came together to make today a reality. It was truly something special.
Together that we are .
I am aware that there have been many misleading facts and even lies against me throughout this campaign.
However, as the current Mayor of Turlock, I believe that staying connected to the people and the community of our city is crucial, and those results speak for themselves.
This is why instead of engaging in the political game, I have spent the bulk of this election campaign continuing what I have been doing for the last 4 years, connecting with as many of you in the community as I can, door-to-door, business-to-business, church-to-church and face-to-face, and focusing on continuing the work that's most important to our city.
Things such as:
✅ Fixing Roads
✅ Cleaning up homeless encampments
✅ Keeping our city within budget
✅ Public Safety
✅ And issues that I hear walking door-to-door
That's why all of my social media has been focused on the results that have been achieved, facets of projects that may not be widely known, and vision for the future.
It has been my pleasure to work on and achieve most of the issues that I promised to the community four years ago. And I look forward to continuing the forward momentum we've created.
Remember to vote Amy Bublak for Turlock City Mayor on or before November 8th.
Can we talk about the elephant in the room 🐘😄
Have you come downtown for Shop the Block? If not, there's still time!

I am excited to welcome Texas Road House to our community this Monday afternoon.
This will not only offer a new eating option for our people, but with 15,00 square feet more than the Modesto location, it has brought 200 jobs to the area as well.
I have also been pleased with the care that Texas Road House has taken to customize the restaurant to OUR community.
The wall decor includes everything from pictures of the Stanislaus County Fairgrounds, to fish that are unique to our area.
This is an exciting step forward for Turlock and one that brings great opportunity with it.
Be sure to stop by and check out the facility for yourself this week.
My opponent has plans for at least one tent city that would likely bring in even more homeless from surrounding cities like Stockton, Modesto, and San Francisco/Bay Area.
This isn’t the first time my opponent has wanted a tent city, and this isn’t the first time I’ve opposed it. If re-elected, I will continue working against tent cities in Turlock.
The choice, however, is up to you, the voter. Vote Amy Bublak for City Mayor to stop Turlock from becoming a "Homeless Capital".
Together, we will stop tent cities from coming to our community.
Congratulations on your 35-0 win last night, Turlock High.
After my college career, athletics and sports have a special place in my heart. Which is why I love seeing our city's youth compete, and to be rewarded for their hard work.
I will be rooting for you throughout the playoffs, and I wish you luck in your next game against St. Mary's.

The number one priority of any elected official MUST be public safety first because it is the most important service for the voters, the ratepayers, the families, business community, and those who are visiting from out of town.
And I am proud to be acknowledged this election, and every election throughout my career, by those who risk their lives for our community every day.
I have always, and WILL always advocate for a fully funded Police Department and hiring more Police Officers, even when other parts of our State and Country do not.
If reelected on Nov. 8th, I will continue to advocate for and work to enhance Turlock's Public Safety Services.
Together we are .
The day I moved to Turlock CA, is the day that I got a new family, new friends, and a new home. What makes Turlock special has always been, and will always be its people.
I have loved the honor of serving as the Mayor of our great city, and ask that you would consider me, Amy Bublak, for re-election on Nov. 8th.
Because Turlock is my home, and I will always fight for its continual betterment.
Together we will continue to be .
Everyone mark your calendars for a day of local, fun holiday shopping.
Turlock has the best people and the best business community in the world. Let's plan to enjoy both, this Sunday, November 6th.
See the post below for more details, and tag someone you would love to holiday shop with this weekend!
.
I would like to be clear, as Mayor, I have not and WILL not support the creation or planning of any tent cities in Turlock.
Not only that, but if I am reelected on Nov. 8th, I will do everything in my power to stop these tent cities from being established, and to keep our community from becoming a "Homeless Capital"
Homelessness is not an easy or simple issue to address, but one thing is certain, tent cities AND bringing more homeless to Turlock is NOT the solution.
If reelected on Nov. 8th, I will continue working with the City Council and Turlock Police Department to help the unsheltered who want help and legally enforce related criminal activity, while cleaning up our city.
The power to choose is up to you, the voter. Please remember to vote Amy Bublak on or before Nov. 8th.
Together we are .
It was great to see such a positive response at today's job fair.
Turlock is home to both the best people, and the best business community on earth, and it was a pleasure to see the two connected in a greater way today.
Special thanks to all who came together to make this job fair a reality.
.
It is my honor to be endorsed by Turlock Associated Police Officers (TAPO).
The two decades plus that I spent serving as a Police Officer was a very special time in my life. I learned many things during that season, but among the most important was that I desire to protect and serve the community that I call home. Thank you TAPO for your confidence and support in this election.
I would like our community to know that I am ready to continue protecting our ratepayers, advocating for our public safety services, hiring more police officers, and working towards a stronger Turlock for tomorrow.
Please remember to vote Amy Bublak for Turlock City Mayor, on or before November 8th.
Together we are .
I have always taken being an elected representative seriously, especially as I’ve been Mayor of Turlock - even if it's on my own dime at times.
Over the past three-plus years I have had the honor of serving as your Mayor.
With your support, and the assistance of a dedicated group of outstanding City Employees, we have been able to:
✅ Continue prudent fiscal management and operate within our budget
✅ Speed up road repairs
✅ Reduce homeless encampments
✅ Hire more Fire & Police Officers to keep you safe
✅ Equip all Police Officers with body cameras
✅ Reduce the cost of Turlock surface water treatment plant by over $80 million
✅ Reorganize City Staff to provide more efficient city services
✅ Lessen State mandated garbage rates
Since these are the areas of concern that I have heard about from so many citizens, they’ve been my priorities as well. I have listened and taken action for the future of our city.
Let's continue in strength together! Vote Amy Bublak for Mayor on Nov. 8th, 2022.

I believe that there is strength in numbers and that's why together we are truly .

🚨FENTANYL EMERGENCY 🚨 New rainbow fentanyl SMELLS like candy now!
We need to come together on this to save lives, ASAP. There is a new kind of fentanyl that looks and smells just like candy but is LETHAL.
All adults with youth and children in your lives, Mothers, Fathers, Aunts, Uncles, and family friends, I urge you to warn those in your life about the danger this deadly drug poses both in everyday life, and especially with Halloween coming up.
Many of us have already felt the devastating loss that this drug brings to our loved ones, but a simple conversation held with urgency can truly save lives.

Today, we officially welcomed Amazon to Turlock with a well attended ribbon cutting ceremony.
It has been great to hear all of the positive feedback and excitement about what this means for our economy, and our community.
And as our city grows, we are committed to continue growing the opportunity and potential that our people have right here in their home town.

We are making sure that our roads will never get this bad again…
Earlier this year, the city hired a company to map all of our roads using high-tech lidar trucks.
This was a crucial step not only to accelerate our progress now but to prepare for future maintenance as well.
We WILL fix our roads, but we will do it in a way that ensures our future generations never have to face the same challenges with them as we are now.
Together, we are .
I have always fought for and will continue to fight for YOU, the ratepayer.
Times are tight and prices are rising, what our community needs is leadership that will not only stand up for them but pursue creative solutions and collaborations to practical issues we are facing.
I am ready to continue working for Turlock. Remember to vote Amy Bublak for Turlock City Mayor on, or before November 8th.

It was great to reconnect with my good friend at the Army pinning earlier this month.
Recognized multiple times at the Pentagon for her service here and around the world, 1st Sgt. McClain isn't home often, so when she is, I try not to miss the opportunity to see her.
Thank you again for your service 1st Sgt. McClain, it's always a pleasure to see you!
Water is crucial for a thriving community, but it MUST be secured in a way that is not only safe, clean and sustainable, but also AFFORDABLE.
I truly believe that we are better together and I will continue to pursue creative solutions and work to strengthen the joint partnerships and collaborations that continue to strengthen our community.
Because together, we are .
I LOVED being a Police Officer, and here's why…
I got to help my community every day. I got to see the tangible impact of my work, day-in, and day-out for over two decades in law enforcement.
And that is also why I love being Turlock's Mayor. I still strive to give my best to our community, to serve and protect, each day.
Please remember to vote Amy Bublak on or before November 8th. Because together we are .
