Left Coast Crime
LEFT COAST CRIME is an annual mystery convention sponsored by mystery fans, for mystery fans.
It is held during the first quarter of the calendar year in Western North America, as defined by the Mountain Time Zone and all time zones westward to Hawaii.
Did you leave your heart in San Francisco? It's time to retrieve it!
Left Coast Crime will return to San Francisco for the first time since Left Coast Crime #1 and #2 were held there in 1991 and 1992! Our 36th annual convention will be held at the Hyatt Regency San Francisco on the Embarcadero near the Ferry Building from February 26 through March 1, 2026.
The San Francisco Cable Car stops right outside the Hyatt Regency San Francisco, the Presidio Go Shuttle provides free trips to the historic Presidio (a National Park Site), and the Embarcadero BART station is just steps away.
The 1915 Ferry Building is right across the street from the Hyatt. The Ferry Building Marketplace is packed with restaurants and shops plus a bookstore! From the Port of San Francisco you can catch a ferry to Alcatraz, Angel Island, Treasure Island, Jack London Square in Oakland, and many other destinations.

Coming April 9th
Dugoni scores a decisive win with this tale of greed, lust, and bloodshed: it’s chock-full of expertly drawn characters and plenty of historical lore, and its note-perfect noir atmosphere could accommodate James Cagney. Here’s hoping this gets the series treatment. Publisher’s Weekly, starred Review.
