My mom and I were "welcomed" to Los Angeles when we moved there in 2011 by a SDC show at The Roosevelt Hotel.

In 2012, we saw SDC at the pop-up Goth club Bar Sinister in West Hollywood.

I miss those days; they were some of the best of my life.

So a friend told me it looked like my living room missed a centerpiece above the TV.

I think this works, right?

Easter has always been my favorite holiday (and ofc Halloween). The beauty and tragedy of my God loving me so much He chose to be tortured, humiliated, and die for MY soul? When he knew I'd be a flawed being? When the church kicked me out, He still chose to die for me. He didn't care what man said about me, even those who claim to love Him and serve him.

And now I rest well knowing this one thing: He died also so our souls can rise again, and I know my mother was saved, and she's safely with Him now. There is no more pain or suffering. Only peace. And today is why that is.

Thank You, Jesus, for Your sacrifice. Thank You for Your love. Thank You for saving me a seat one day next to my mom.

In silence we await.

Having listened to 3x in a row, can I say I'm SO GLAD I found when I did?

This album is full of energy and passion and tbh it's hard to pick 1 favorite song. Breaking the Waves, Stay a Little While, Find Life, Damnation Flame, Outer Dimensions... IT'S SO FU***NG GOOD.

Praying they'll come to Chicago/northern Illinois sometime this year!
