I’ve been doing some other forms of creative therapy these few days that I’ve been resting up. I find drawing SUPER relaxing and crochet was my hobby before macrame pushed in and run the show!
I promise I’ll have some macrame to show you soon but for now, this is what I’ve been up to 😝

I found this ever so heart warming☺️…my shop has been taking a backseat to facilitate me to rest and recover. But whilst I was in hospital, my son made up loads of my flat pack boxes… 💞
He wanted to help me in whatever way he could, plus he just loves to see how things work and once he knows he just has to do it!!!
It’s moments like this that I remember how much I love how tangible my business is for my children. Hard work, quality and good customer service results in exchange of money. They see it and try to contribute in ways they can and most importantly, are inspired to try something entrepreneurial too!
I’m sure it’s not far off, my two are only 5 and 7. They’ll have little tuck shop soon taking over their school lol
P.s the shop will be getting back up soon … I’ll keep you posted ☺️

Crafters all over are getting macrame for christmas this year! Love it! 😊💞
I’ve been working on this since last Boxing Day when I’d finally had enough FOMO that my little village didn’t have a postbox topper! So I just decided to make one! 🤷♀️ why not?
I loved crochet as a child and even remember taking a blanket that I couldn’t put down to finish with me to school that I crocheted on the playground in Juniors School! I genuinely find it peaceful knotting away when I crochet. Bang that together with some Macrame and 🔥
That’s how this year’s postbox topper was born.

Can you spot the differences here? Let me know if you notice any mistakes versus the left and right in each sample… ➡️➡️➡️
Double half hitch knots are simple and complicated! When you don’t understand why they’re going wrong they’re just the worst thing in the world to do! These are 5 of the most common problems I see beginners struggling with and getting frustrated when incorporating this knot.
Let me know if you spot anything that stands out to you as a common problem you see in your macrame knots.
I am recording a new class entirely on double half hitch knots for covering all of these problems!! 😊

Crafted by Ceri is a handmade macrame shop run by me, Ceri. All pieces are handmade with natural fibres sourced from U.K. Manufacturers, environmentally friendly and handmade in the U.K (St Albans).
I set up my macrame workshop because I love bringing plants and nature into my home. I needed to keep the peace with my neat and tidy husband so I creatively hung my plants in beautiful macrame and have been addicted ever since. I hope to share my creations with others so that everyone can bring a little nature into their home.
