Our thoughts are with the Bristol Connecticut Police Department today. Officers responding to a domestic disturbance call overnight were ambushed upon their arrival. Two Officers were killed and a third seriously injured.
Sergeant Dustin Demonte was 35 years old. He is survived by his wife Laura, young children Phoebe and Porter, and a baby on the way.
Officer Alex Hamzy grew up in Bristol. He was 34 years old, survived by his wife Katie, parents and two sisters.
Officer Alec Iurato is 26 years old. He was taken to Saint Francis Hospital and underwent surgery for a serious gunshot wound. He is fighting for his life.
