After a very fun morning of playing at the Crystal Springs Farmers Market last market of the season we packed up our gear and went over to visit The Pejepscot food truck in Topsham for some photos and really great food. It was their last day of the season but they will be back next year and we will make sure to visit and let you know where the will be for the season! Thank you all at The Pejepscot food truck for the great food and the fun photo opportunities!

Last Saturday Pejepscot Station was at Crystal Springs Farmers Market and oh! The fun we had. It was the most beautiful weather and we met Winston a tenor banjo player from Jamaica, pictured here with Ren, our resident 5 String banjo player. What do we call a group of banjo players? A herd? A deluge? A thicket? A Scrugg of banjo players? Well, we had so much fun that we said yes to playing again this Saturday 11/4 from 9-12:00. See you there?

Hi all! Pejepscot Station will be playing music at Crystal Springs Farmers Market in Brunswick this Saturday 10/28 from 9-12noon. The bass player is usually late so the actual start time might be 9:15. Look for us whilst buying the end of the season tomatoes.

Saturday July 22 from 1:00-2:00 Pejepscot Station will be playing at the Clam Festival on the Memorial Green stage, right in front of all the food booths. We hope you can come out to hear us and support the local Yarmouth groups as they fund raise for their year’s budget (who is from Yarmouth and used to run one of the booths? Me, the bass player)

Ren Bernier, Pejepscot Station’s intrepid banjo player , joined MamaBeth on Mama’s Midcoast Bluegrass Show. They talked about many things including our new CD that will be coming out July-ish. Thanks Mama Beth for being a huge supporter of Pejepscot Station through the years, even when we play songs you’d rather not hear. We adore you MamaBeth and we love your radio show.

Last night Pejepscot Station was one of three bands at One Longfellow Square for a show that benefited WMPG radio station. The bands Breakin’ Strings and the World Famous Grassholes were amazing and we had the best time. The audience was so enthusiastic! Here’s a couple of photos from our time hanging out in Longfellow Square’s “green room” which is white and covered with art graffiti from all the bands who have preformed there in the past. We added Pejepscot Station to the wall!
Up next: Friday 4/21 we will be playing 6-8:00 at Flightdeck Brewing, we hope that you all can come over for a beer and music

Pejepscot Station will be one of three bands playing at the 18th WMPG Bluegrass Spectacular at One Longfellow Square! It is a fundraiser for WMPG radio station. This is very cool.
Thursday, April 13 starting at 7:00 and we are first up. Come out to support WMPG local radio and One Longfellow Square, great supporters of local music.

We are starting our 2nd CD project! Thank you Jud Caswell of Frog Hollow Studio for helping us make this happen!
The Freeport Fall Festival (which you should definitely attend next year!) was everything we had hoped for. What a tremendous gig! Such an appreciative and welcoming audience, a professional and pleasant sound crew, and a beautiful day, to boot. And as an absolutely delicious cherry on top of a great Sunday, after we played “Galway Girl,” we discovered that a man in the audience was from Galway, had played with Sharon Shannon and Mundy in the Galway City video, and he pronounced our version “Brilliant!” Can’t get much more praise than that! Not bad for a bunch of old duffers (except for Cherie, who is our charming and talented youngster!)
