Most people don't want me because I'm not beautiful..But so far nobody has shared my Face. 💔 🥺🙏
A must READ - Good morning said a woman as she walked up to the man sitting on the ground.
The man slowly looked up.
This was a woman clearly accustomed to the finer things of life. Her coat was new.. She looked like she had never missed a meal in her life.
His first thought was that she wanted to make fun of him, like so many others had done before.. "Leave me alone," he growled....
To his amazement, the woman continued standing.
She was smiling -- her even white teeth displayed in dazzling rows. "Are you hungry?" she asked.
"No," he answered sarcastically. "I've just come from dining with the president. Now go away."
The woman's smile became even broader. Suddenly the man felt a gentle hand under his arm.
"What are you doing, lady?" the man asked angrily. "I said to leave me alone.
Just then a policeman came up. "Is there any problem, ma'am?" he asked..
"No problem here, officer," the woman answered. "I'm just trying to get this man to his feet. Will you help me?"
The officer scratched his head. "That's old Jack. He's been a fixture around here for a couple of years. What do you want with him?"
"See that cafeteria over there?" she asked. "I'm going to get him something to eat and get him out of the cold for awhile."
"Are you crazy, lady?" the homeless man resisted. "I don't want to go in there!" Then he felt strong hands grab his other arm and lift him up. "Let me go, officer. I didn't do anything."
"This is a good deal for you, Jack" the officer answered. "Don't blow it.."
Finally, and with some difficulty, the woman and the police officer got Jack into the cafeteria and sat him at a table in a remote corner. It was the middle of the morning, so most of the breakfast crowd had already left and the lunch bunch had not yet arrived...
The manager strode across the cafeteria and stood by his table. "What's going on here, officer?" he asked. "What is all this, is this man in trouble?"
"This lady brought this man in here to be fed," the policeman answered.
"Not in here!" the manager replied angrily. "Having a person like that here is bad for business.."
Old Jack smiled a toothless grin. "See, lady. I told you so. Now if you'll let me go. I didn't want to come here in the first place."
The woman turned to the cafeteria manager and smiled....... "Sir, are you familiar with Eddy and Associates, the banking firm down the street?"
"Of course I am," the manager answered impatiently. "They hold their weekly meetings in one of my banquet rooms."
"And do you make a godly amount of money providing food at these weekly meetings?"
"What business is that of yours?"
I, sir, am Penelope Eddy, president and CEO of the company."
"Oh."
The woman smiled again. "I thought that might make a difference." She glanced at the cop who was busy stifling a giggle. "Would you like to join us in a cup of coffee and a meal, officer?"
"No thanks, ma'am," the officer replied. "I'm on duty."
"Then, perhaps, a cup of coffee to go?"
"Yes, ma’am. That would be very nice."
The cafeteria manager turned on his heel, "I'll get your coffee for you right away, officer."
The officer watched him walk away. "You certainly put him in his place," he said.
"That was not my intent. Believe it or not, I have a reason for all this."
She sat down at the table across from her amazed dinner guest. She stared at him intently.. "Jack, do you remember me?"
Old Jack searched her face with his old, rheumy eyes. "I think so -- I mean you do look familiar."
"I'm a little older perhaps," she said. "Maybe I've even filled out more than in my younger days when you worked here, and I came through that very door, cold and hungry."
"Ma'am?" the officer said questioningly. He couldn't believe that such a magnificently turned out woman could ever have been hungry.
"I was just out of college," the woman began. "I had come to the city looking for a job, but I couldn't find anything. Finally I was down to my last few cents and had been kicked out of my apartment. I walked the streets for days. It was February and I was cold and nearly starving. I saw this place and walked in on the off chance that I could get something to eat."
Jack lit up with a smile. "Now I remember," he said.. "I was behind the serving counter. You came up and asked me if you could work for something to eat. I said that it was against company policy."
"I know," the woman continued. "Then you made me the biggest roast beef sandwich that I had ever seen, gave me a cup of coffee, and told me to go over to a corner table and enjoy it. I was afraid that you would get into trouble... Then, when I looked over and saw you put the price of my food in the cash register, I knew then that everything would be all right."
"So you started your own business?" Old Jack said.
"I got a job that very afternoon. I worked my way up. Eventually I started my own business that, with the help of God, prospered." She opened her purse and pulled out a business card.. "When you are finished here, I want you to pay a visit to a Mr. Lyons...He's the personnel director of my company. I'll go talk to him now and I'm certain he'll find something for you to do around the office." She smiled. "I think he might even find the funds to give you a little advance so that you can buy some clothes and get a place to live until you get on your feet... If you ever need anything, my door is always opened to you."
There were tears in the old man's eyes. "How can I ever thank you?" he said.
"Don't thank me," the woman answered. "To God goes the glory. Thank Jesus...... He led me to you."
Outside the cafeteria, the officer and the woman paused at the entrance before going their separate ways....
"Thank you for all your help, officer," she said.
"On the contrary, Ms. Eddy," he answered. "Thank you. I saw a miracle today, something that I will never forget. And.. And thank you for the coffee."
God is going to shift things around for you today and let things work in your favor.
If you believe, send it.
If you don't believe, delete it.
God closes doors no man can open & God opens doors no man can close..
If you need God to open some doors for you...send this on

Today we are all getting different messages as what to do these days. Our locations and situations are different. What I like is that so many people are doing great things to help others through this crazy time.
I follow "You,Me & the RV" "today is someday". They are a retired Navy family that have taken the big step to live full time rolling all around the United States. They are in their early 50's or late 40's (I think) couple who are so fun and down to earth. Why am I sharing about them? Well,
They did a couple of things: 1- Reminding others to wear red on Fridays to "Remember Everyone Deployed" - RED and then held a T-Shirt sale with their logo on it and special hat with their logo on it. A dollar from each sale was donated to Homes for Veterans. This group helps get homes for injured veterans! They just raised over $4,000 for this cause. They are a great couple! We must remember that there are giving and generous people in our country and we should celebrate this part of American culture. They are on YouTube and they are just fun to watch.
We travel in our Airstream and we enjoy their adventures and just fun experiences. They like to be healthy and happy. Just remember to turn off the news, and it is always darkest before the dawn. Enjoy your day and the positive things in your life.

Today is Sunday, really, the first day of our week. Have you ever wondered why when you were small Sunday meant Church, pancakes and a drive for the afternoon or visiting the grandparents. Today it means, holy cow what do we need to get done and prepared for the rest of the week. Of course if you are retired you need to go to Church so you know what day of the week it is!
Why do I point this out? We need to look to today as a moment to be happy we are breathing. Yep! Be happy you opened you eyes and can smile because your AC is working and you have a day you have control of.
Take a deep breath, smile, then think of something you want to do, not what you think your supposed to do. Take a walk at a new park, drive to a new vista park or make your own picnic on your patio or deck with goodies you really like. Ask your doggie or cat what they want too. Have fun planning a fun time for yourself.
It will make a huge difference in your day and week. Remember small things have great effects in our life. So enjoy your Sunday with a healthy, fun, action and know it was your choice and the rest will take care of itself.
I want people over 50, 60, 70, 80 or 90 to start smiling, be healthier and enjoy today.

Have you ever looked at yourself in the mirror and felt shocked or betrayed? Our mind says we are young and vibrant but the mirror says OMG, who is the old person looking back?
You see wrinkles, sagging jowls, grey in your eyebrows and yucky brown things on your skin? Shock and dismay. What to do? Smile and see how much younger you look and the wrinkles kinda go away. Well as long as you keep smiling.
That gray hair thing doesn't help or the thinning, balding hair really makes us cringe.
Have you looked at the old black and white movies of the 1930's or 1950's? People in their 40's and 50's looked like my grandmother on her 90th birthday.
Today we are more active, healthier and due to COVID-19 our gray is not colored. What I realized is that if our attitudes about what we look like are tweaked a little we can see what we really have and who we are. We can laugh more because we have "been there, done that" and we survived. We do try to take better care of ourselves. We worked hard, some of us survived children, and there are a heck of a lot of us too.
So when you look in the mirror, smile. When you see people - smile. When you are having your picture taken, don't hide - smile. This way you look younger, feel better and make people wonder what you are up to. Keep people, especially your children guessing. Smiling helps you feel better, improves your attitude and keeps your heart ticking.
Exercise of the day - SMILE!

Today is the last day I will be 72! Yep, tomorrow I will be 73! Well, I never thought I would be this old. The forever “21” is long gone. My mind thinks I am in my 40’s and wanting to get back in shape.
When I was in my 40’s I joined the United States Air Force Reserve Nurse Corps. I was Registered Nutse Practitioner, already trained and had 3 children. Two were over 18 and one was 3. It was the greatest adventure of my life. It challenged me in so many ways. It also took me away from my family and private practice. The people I met were amazing.
Now I focus on my health, my spouse and my community. I started a new course of care for others. Why? Because so many men and women my age are not healthy. Many are alone, lonely and forgotten.
Today I will begin encouraging others to start to meal plan better, move a little more and smile a lot more.
When I am out and about everyone looks so sad and grumpy. That was before COVID-19. It’s much worse now.
I will begin posting information and give encouragement to all who visit my page to help make each day count. One day at a time.

Today is Wednesday, the third of June. What does that mean? I will be 73 in 8 days! I have lost 5 lbs by eating more interesting foods and paying attention to just cleaner products. We, hubby and I, have stopped using cane sugar, no prepackaged foods and no freezer meals from the grocery store.
I love to bake, especially ciabatta bread and making fresh berry pies in season. With only 2 people to feed it is crazy to cook like I used to. So smaller cooking portions and or cooking the portions I used to and freezing the rest for another meal. God, I sound like my grandmother! Whoa, I really loved her and my mom but to actually say what she said! See, as we "mature" we change and now I understand what they were saying.
It is strange how we hear but don't. I now remember helping my mother cook and my Nana teaching me to make different goodies too. We never wasted food and we never served ourselves. My mother cooked a certain amount and we were served a set portion size with my father getting the largest portions. We never asked for seconds because we seemed to know that we had enough and there was not enough for seconds. Did not even think about it. We felt full and satisfied, in fact we were served dessert by mom, like one small scoop of ice cream, that was it. No more no less.
Now I cook with tools that allow me to make only enough for two servings and it is wonderful and you settle into the routine and do not feel wanting. So we have tried, Kale, Collard Greens and Chard! We also tasted and loved a goodie that is made with Blue agave, Almond butter, Vanilla Protein powder and brown rice cereal. Did not think we would like it but one square is about 80 calories and is very tasty and satisfying. We now think we should add this to our traveling food healthy goodies..
Its tasty, no artificial sweetener, no flour and easy! Try it, you'll like it. Getting healthier can be fun.

Ahhhh, this is Happy Hour on the road. We are at Fillmore KOA In Utah. It is a four hour drive from our home. It is a 30 mile detour from the faster route to our destination.
We have stayed here before in the off-season. Almost abandoned and very quiet. This day was the beginning of the new peak season. The mountains are still green and a tiny bit of snow in the shadows makes it a restful place to overnight. It was an easy, drive, we landed early enough to relax and take a deep breath. This time every site was filled, lots and lots of families, kids and dogs! But, nice neighbors and polite children. It made it easy to relax and we could rest.
The road less traveled was bucolic, a page out of the past and grounding in the sense that our past pioneers and native Americans had a better sense of life. There will be hard times but we survive. The land survives and there is always hope. What a gift from just going on a road less traveled.

As we were staying at our family ranch I realized one thing. I am older than I think I am. Yep I am. The years are the same but the old body says I’m nuts.
After 10 days of ranch life I managed to survive until the day before we were to leave. I made lots pf comfort food for my son and his family, goodies and special attention to my granddaughters. No accidents, no owes no crazy insane mental breakdowns. I was doing great!
Last night I managed to make a double batch of Panna Cotta and shortbread cookies and a double batch of giant meatballs and tomato sauce for the freezer. My granddaughter then said let’s take a short walk before everyone is ready for dinner - she’s 9.
After about 30 minutes we had walked 1 mile in 80 degree sun without a hat or sunscreen! Then after we returned I prepared the orange syrup for the dessert , instructed my older grandaughter to bake the cookies at too high a temp, walked my head on the awning brace, tripped on the first step to the house and bruised my knees, spilled half the syrup and almost broke the dessert dish.
I was sober too! So we are who we are and thankful we can laugh! Stay healthy, breath deeply and laugh a lot. The picture is my family, a lot younger than me !

Hello from beautiful Colorado. As we watch the sun rise and hear the animals, it is rejuvenating. The morning quiet, except for calves and their mums, reminds me that everyday is a new beginning with hope and future. Right now we are hearing nothing but negativity in health, human anger and loss. Each new day give us more to be thankful for. Not great big things but little things. I am breathing, I can walk and talk, and I have a mind that is hungry to learn.
Today is the first day of the rest of my life and I am working on accepting that I soon will be 73 years old. I am having a difficult time grasping that. My mind and self keeps thinking I am 40, bright, energetic and full of hope for my future. I look in the mirror and see my mother/grandmother and an old woman. Yikes! I don't realize all I have seen, experienced and learned. I don't appreciated all of the gifts I have been given.
I am on a quest that will help me enjoy everyday, every challenge and every triumph. I have embarked on a journey to create a new business that espouses what I believe in and I can share with others as well as allow myself to share my road to acceptance that my physical years also open many exciting adventures for the rest of my life.
I hope you will join me in this process. Embrace who you are and what your dreams are. Find ways to create a better space in this crazy world that will let you shine in a positive and unexpected way.
Here is one way I am supporting my health while I am away from home.

It seems that the wherever we go people are worried about the COVID-19 "lock down". We see as we travel from Nevada to Colorado more people actually outside enjoying the spring weather.
Yes the stores and restaurants have a different method of staying alive than we are used to but.... guess what we can adapt and overcome.
We were on Hwy 70 in Fruita and ordered ahead to Rib City BBQ and they delivered a fantastic BBQ and Ribs lunch to our Airstream. Gloves and masks on. It made us feel as though we were still on our usual drive from here to there and we can find niceties on the way.
We also drove on for about an hour and found a turnout that said parking ahead. It was a small, one way road that circumvented a tunnel. We didn't know that. We wanted a quiet spot to eat our lunch. It was quiet, minimal to no traffic or people. A beautiful quiet Colorado River going by.
It is the out of the way, not heard of spots that make your life wonderful.
Enjoy your life, don't dwell on what you don't have or can't do but on what you have and are enjoying.

I feel great this morning. Why? Because I am alive and it’s an opportunity to make a a positive effect on my world. That means to get out of my own way. Make my protein shake, brush my teeth, shower and look at what I want to do today! Yep, I want to read for 30 min, I will do my 30 min trampoline then get my coffee and do something fun. How’s that for a start to a day?
How do you start your day 😎

Who says there aren’t surprises and good humor left for us to find?
We just left a beautiful KOA in Fillmore Utah and while refueling we caught sight of this wonder. We were camping near beautiful hills, drinking coffee in the morning chill while walking the dog. Life can’t get much better.
Look out your window, door or tent and find a smile. Stay healthy, happy and full of vinegar! Keeps everpguessing.

We know what “shelter in place” has done! We have been victims that makes us - chubby, wubby and a little stir crazy. So what is this? It’s a floor marking to help someone (hubby) to learn to salsa with me!
Stop laughing, 😂😂😂😂. See the danger of two senior members left Alone to their own devices. Stay tuned for updates to YouTube Salsalessons for beginners. 😎🙄🤦🏻♀️
This is a great place to practice social distancing
Woke up this morning and my roses are red!!! Who painted them
Hope!
Its spring and a new life is born. This little guy was difficult to find but soooo cute with the longest eyelashes every. For frantic city slickers ranch sitting, we were frantic as if we were delivering this critter! Our experience was right out of a comedy.
Everyday we stressed about the number of cows on the ranch. Only 24 plus Ferdinand the bull. Every morning, afternoon and evening I would take the Gator and go count cows. Both my husband and I would take turns, mowing the fields, weekly taking out nutrients for the cows and making sure water was always available. There were two horses too!
We laugh now at how frantic we were that we would loose a cow or not feed them or something. The cows looked at us like we were from Mars and we looked at them and asked them not to run into us!
Life is like city slickers watching cows. Life has a way of continuing whether we can count all the cows and be perfect or not. Take a deep breath and know that we cannot control everything but what we can do it with a smile and realize each day is a new gift!
, , , , , pass.
Good morning world! Just doing what everyone else is doing. Fixed my blocked posts. I wondered where everybody had been! This is good to know. It's ridiculous to have so many friends and only 25 are allowed to see my posts.
I ignored this post earlier because I didn’t think it worked. It WORKS!! I have a whole new news feed. I’m seeing posts from people I haven’t seen in years.
Here’s how to bypass the system FB now has in place that limits posts on your news feed. Their new algorithm chooses the same few people - about 25 - who will read your posts. Therefore, hold your finger down anywhere in this post and "copy" will pop up. Click "copy". Then go to your page, start a new post, and put your finger anywhere in the blank field. "Paste" will pop up and click "paste". This will bypass the system.
If you are reading this message, do me a favor and leave me a quick comment...a "hello," a sticker, whatever you want, so you will appear in my newsfeed‼️It WORKS!! I would love to know how many posts I’m missing from friends whose posts aren’t showing up anymore. During these times, hearing from friends means so much. 💕😘🙏
Got this post from a dear colleague:
❤️💔❤️💔❤️
Thank you to all of those Healthcare workers on the front lines during this scary time.
Please copy and paste.
Essay from Josh Lerner, MD after the CDC loosens guidelines for all of us on the front lines.
Please don't tell me that in the richest country in the world in the 21st century, I'm supposed to work in a fictionalized Soviet-era disaster zone and fashion my own face mask out of cloth because other Americans hoard supplies for personal use and so-called leaders sit around in meetings hearing themselves talk. I ran to a bedside the other day to intubate a crashing, likely COVID, patient. Two respiratory therapists and two nurses were already at the bedside. That's 5 N95s masks, 5 gowns, 5 face shields and 10 gloves for one patient at one time. I saw probably 15-20 patients that shift, if we are going to start rationing supplies, what percentage should I wear precautions for?
Make no mistake, the CDC is loosening these guidelines because our country is not prepared. Loosening guidelines increases healthcare workers' risk but the decision is done to allow us to keep working, not to keep us safe. It is done for the public benefit - so I can continue to work no matter the personal cost to me or my family (and my healthcare family). Sending healthcare workers to the front line asking them to cover their face with a bandana is akin to sending a soldier to the front line in a t-shirt and flip flops.
I don't want talk. I don't want assurances. I want action. I want boxes of N95s piling up, donated from the people who hoarded them. I want non-clinical administrators in the hospital lining up in the ER asking if they can stock shelves to make sure that when I need to rush into a room, the drawer of PPE equipment I open isn't empty. I want them showing up in the ER asking "how can I help" instead of offering shallow "plans" conceived by someone who has spent far too long in an ivory tower and not long enough in the trenches. Maybe they should actually step foot in the trenches.
I want billion-dollar companies like 3M halting all production of any product that isn't PPE to focus on PPE manufacturing. I want a company like Amazon, with its logistics mastery (it can drop a package to your door less than 24 hours after ordering it), halting its 2-day delivery of 12 reams of toilet paper to whoever is willing to pay the most in order to help get the available PPE supply distributed fast and efficiently in a manner that gets the necessary materials to my brothers and sisters in arms who need them.
I want Proctor and Gamble, and the makers of other soaps and detergents, stepping up too. We need detergent to clean scrubs, hospital linens and gowns. We need disinfecting wipes to clean desk and computer surfaces. What about plastics manufacturers? Plastic gowns aren't some high-tech device, they are long shirts/smocks...made out of plastic. Get on it. Face shields are just clear plastic. Nitrile gloves? Yeah, they are pretty much just gloves...made from something that isn't apparently Latex. Let's go. Money talks in this country. Executive millionaires, why don't you spend a few bucks to buy back some of these masks from the hoarders, and drop them off at the nearest hospital.
I love biotechnology and research but we need to divert viral culture media for COVID testing and research. We need biotechnology manufacturing ready and able to ramp up if and when treatments or vaccines are developed. Our Botox supply isn't critical, but our antibiotic supply is. We need to be able to make more plastic ET tubes, not more silicon breast implants.
Let's see all that. Then we can all talk about how we played our part in this fight. Netflix and chill is not enough while my family, friends and colleagues are out there fighting. Our country won two world wars because the entire country mobilized. We out-produced and we out-manufactured while our soldiers out-fought the enemy. We need to do that again because make no mistake, we are at war, healthcare workers are your soldiers, and the war has just begun.”
-Josh Lerner, MD.
Today I read a Wikipedia description of middle age as the 45-65 age range. I am so bummed to realize I am way past that. Does that mean ok, I won’t be sent to my room because I misbehaved? Was my dessert taken away because I didn’t eat my veggies or not TV because I talked back to ?
Nope! I’m a my own special friend who can do and say what I want BECAUSE I’m “old”. 😂😂😂😂
I also make sure I smile to confuse people. I eat healthy foods I prepare for myself and exercise so I can use my purse to wack the bad guys into the shocked 😳 scared babies they are.
My new favorite thing to do is make people know - I am healthy, plan to live long and confuse the hell out of others, especially my kids.
Have fun, be healthy and enjoy your life.
We are the road again! Yep,in the brrr cold. It’s 37 degrees in the morning sunshine. The sun is shinning, no high winds,no rain - just beautiful scenery.
When we look at life as a great adventure we see more. We have had three different sized Airstreams in the last 13 years. This morning I just realized how beautiful the aluminum walls and ceilings are. The simplicity in the design is amazing. Our Aussie doggie loves her coach and travel bed. She’s so happy to travel too!
We are on our way to ranch sit. We bring our home with us and we are toasty warm, no scampering and looking for breakfast or coffee. We had driven until one in the morning after work. Pulled into a Utah State rest stop and slept in a cozy, warm little “covered wagon”.
Ahhh 5 hours of toasty warm sleep and have coffee from our own cafe! Lol , it’s so nice to enjoy the time we have. SMILE!
Another wonderful day to see with new eyes. Ok, new old eyes. They still work ya know.
