September is National Service Dog Month and what better way to celebrate than highlighting our Immersion Client Training Program. The Immersion Client Training Program embodies paws4people’s Mission of educating and empowering those to utilize Assistance Dogs to transform lives.

At paws4people®️ foundation, our philosophy is that our Clients, whether children or adults, can be taught how to utilize an Assistance Dog to Control, Regulate, and Mitigate®️ the effects of their disability.

We wouldn’t be where we are today without our wonderful Clients and of course our Service Dogs. We have placed over 1600 Service, Facility, and Emotional Support Dogs with Clients over the past 25 years and look forward to creating many more Client/Dog Teams in the future!

Did you know that after our puppies have finished their training at our Puppy Development Center they head up to West Virginia to continue their training at our paws4prisons®️ Program? We are so thankful to have a program where our Assistance Dogs In-Training can get an ample amount of training from such dedicated inmate trainers. The paws4prisons®️ Program is currently the largest training venue for paws4people®️ Assistance Dogs. Within each correctional facility, the paws4prisons®️ Program is an Honors program, which demands the highest behavior and performance standards of each Inmate who participates in the Program. All Program dogs reside within the prison with their assigned Inmate Trainers, and are taken out of the facility by either paws4people volunteers or training staff. The Inmate Trainers and the paws4prisons®️ Program is a in the process of training the best Assistance Dogs possible!
