Displaced Orphans Intl is Mourning the loss of one of our own. Christine Yateman has been our book keeper and a key part of our events team, board member and good friend or family to all of us in the DOI family.
Christine has gone onto her well deserved reward in Heaven.
We are requesting prayer for her family and everyone's prayer and support is welcome.
The hole in our hearts and organization created with her passing will not be easy to heal.
Christine was a bright shining example of Christian Love to everyone she came in contact with and an adopted mom to more people than we could count.
We all miss you Chris !!!

2024 Thailand home visits are complete. We had an amazing trip. One of our homes is ready to take up to 13 more kids from the War Torn areas of Myanmar. You can change a child's life for only $65 per month!
This home is doing a great job with their 50+ kids now, they all are getting well fed physically, spiritually and emotionally!

Prayer And Support Needed
A student from our community, who goes to Bible school every day was caught up during the military’s surprise checks on several city roads, looking for members of the People Defense Force. Numerous young individuals were arrested without just cause.

The student, an 18-year-old, was apprehended while on his way to Bible school and was treated harshly by the military forces, beaten with batons, kicked, and punched. When he managed to contact us for help, we immediately went to his aid, explaining his association with ECH and his status as a Bible school student. Thankfully, they released him, but not before leaving their mark. Jacob suffered bruises to his back and thighs. After medical consultations, we’re optimistic about his swift recovery. We ask for your prayers for Jacob during this trying time.

The ongoing political unrest in Myanmar poses severe challenges for our youth. Many are forcibly recruited, either to serve as porters or directly in the military. The situation remains unstable, with numerous accounts from the war zone that are too sensitive to share at the moment.

The people of Kalay/Myanmar are grappling with these difficult times. We are endlessly grateful for the divine protection over ECH. Your continued prayers for our safety and well being mean the world to us.

🚨 Prayer request 🚨
On March 30 - April 3rd, a Military unit arrived North of Kalaymyo and set fire to 128 houses. The actual number of houses torched in the village is likely to be higher than that. All the villagers are Christian believers. They lost their houses and all of their belongings.

On April 4th, intense fighting between Myanmar’s military junta forces and People Defence Force are still happening in the villages. Thousands of people have fled to for their safety.

One of our larger homes in Myanmar is very close to all this and has taken in 28 additional people. It causes a lot of stress for these actions to be happening so close to one of our homes. Especially with no end to this scary situation in sight yet.

Please be praying for our Myanmar homes and for all those that have been involved in this scary chaos.

Nunu's home is doing great and all the kids are staying happy and healthy. Always puts a smile on our face getting to see these monthly update photos from our homes and seeing these kids smiling faces. Last month they went out and visited a near by park.

April Update is here! Our Thailand homes are still thriving and doing great right now. Burma is still in combat amongst themselves, and the conditions are decreasing still. Our home leaders have been amazing at making sure that the kids are still learning even while the schools have been shutdown, making sure to teach all the kids math and language skills to be ready for when they do go back to school. Our Burma homes are living in a lawless land and it can be scary, however they are keeping their eyes on the lord and asking that we please continue to pray for their safety and well being during these unsure times.
