White County Central Choirs

Are you a local business owner looking for a great, tax deductible, opportunity to help high achieving students? In the Spring of 2024, the White Co. Central Sr. Choir will be taking our competition skills all the way to Orlando, Florida to compete at Universal Studios! Our choir has already held 3 fundraisers and our students are working diligently to continue to raise funds. Students are responsible for all expenses related to competing at this level: hotel, meals, travel, tickets, etc. In addition, we have group expenses that include competition fees, props, and music. The funds raised through sponsorship will help cover trip related expenses and help fill any gaps in fundraising for each student. Any donation is greatly appreciated and a tax deductible receipt will be issued to each generous donor upon request!

Hello parents! If your student is going to Orlando in the Spring, a packet was sent home with them today that needs to be filled out and returned by 1/12/24 (preferably sooner).

The mandatory parent meeting is scheduled for 1/11/24 @ 6:30 in the auditorium. This is for any parent or guardian of a student who is going to Orlando.

If you have any questions until then, please do not hesitate to reach out to me.

It has been brought to my attention by multiple parents that the parent meeting being held tonight is very inconvient during the holiday season and I also inadvertently scheduled during the Jr. High Jamboree without thinking that parents have students they support at those games. Because of this, I will postpone the scheduled meeting until we return from break. Please know that it was never my intent to cause frustration during this busy season. Be on the lookout for a new date!

Just a reminder that we are still accepting pictures of veterans for a special part in our program where we will honor soldiers who never made it home or have passed away since being home. If you have a picture of a special solider that you would like to be honored in the program please EMAIL them to [email protected]. Please do not post pictures in the comments. White Co. Central Choir is baking their way to Orlando for a Choral Competiton! Come out to Atwood's on October 7th and help support these awesome students!

Come out to the Searcy Farmer's Market this Saturday from 8am - 12pm and satisfy your sweet tooth! All proceeds will help fund the WCC Choir's competition trip to Orlando!

White County Central Choirs will be hosting a district wide talent show on October 6th, 2023 at 7PM in the auditorium. Students interested in participating should contact Mrs. Laura Johnston for entry information.

Jaci Beals, WCC Senior, has been chosen to receive the Governor’s Award for Musical Excellence! Each Arkansas school may nominate a single student based on musical ability, musical accomplishments, leadership, teamwork, and service to a musical program. Jaci has been a member of the WCC Highschool choir for the past four years, earning a spot in the Region 1, All-Region Mixed Choir all four years.

Jaci will be attending Arkansas Tech University in the fall, majoring in agricultural education. We are so proud of you, Jaci, and cannot wait to see what your future holds!

It was a busy weekend for these WCC Choir students! Jr. High All-Region choir clinic and concert was held on Friday and Sr. High choir students followed on Saturday. I’m so proud of these students and the hard work they put in to be a part of these honor choirs!

I was hoping these awards would make it in time for our Spring Concert, but unfortunately that did not happen. These awards are presented by ArkCDA based on individual student academic and choral achievements. Both Jr. and Sr. Choirs were also awarded the group title of "Distinguished" with a combined GPA of 3.25+! I am so proud of these INTELLIGENT and TALENTED Bears!

If your name is on this list and are on campus today, feel free to stop and get your award! Otherwise, I will give them to you in August! Have a wonderful and safe summer!

WCC Choirs finished their St. Louis trip strong, earning FIRST place in the High School Show Choir Division!!!! Sophomore, Ava Parker, was awarded Best Soloist overall! We ended our day in Six Flags after competing earlier this afternoon.

The chilly temps and snow cancelled our morning zoo trip, but we had a blast at The City Museum and The St. Louis Galleria! Ready for tomorrows competition and Six Flags!

Day one did not disappoint with dinner at Fitz’s Root Beer Bottling Co followed by watching Hairspray at The Fabulous Fox Theater!

After two years of not being able to compete, WCC was finally able to attend CPA! Though there is room for growth, I could not be more proud of these students! They truly put their heart into their performances and I’m glad the judges could see that! A great day to be a bear!

ATTENTION: I have had several parents reach out about having children in the Jr. basketball tournament tonight which interferes with the meeting. The meeting has been POSTPONED because of this! We will set a date for after basketball season. Thank you!
