If this face doesn’t say, “Mom don’t bother me, I’m trying to read” I don’t know what. 😂 Little pandemic baby growing up. He turned 3 weeks old when the schools shut down. He just turned 82 weeks old.🙃 That’s a lot of pandemic livin’ folks. Anyone else feeling those 82 weeks?

Hibernation just doesn’t seem like the right word. That implies rest, a slowing of breath, a tucking away from the world.

And yet, while the day to day is filled with a whirlwind of “things” needing “attention”, I have indeed been hibernating. There has been a constant pulse this year, a heartbeat that says slow.slow.slow.

And so while many have been expanding again- opening doors, opening relationships, opening lives- I continue to stay contracted, in my cocoon.

There is something on the other side of this that I haven’t grasped yet, something that lies waiting for me, but still feels so unreachable.

In the meantime, I’ve been continuing to support postpartum folks where I can, and one space that has felt expansive is course creation. I launched my first CE course for several years ago, and I’m so thrilled to finally launch my second baby!!

“Beyond 6 Weeks- The Case For Midwifery Care in the Postpartum Year.”

It’s everything I wanted to be for my clients as a provider. It’s everything I wanted for myself as a mama. It’s everything I envision for our human family, everything I deeply believe is our birthright. To be held, attended to, cared for. So we can then turn our brilliance outward, undimmed by the experience.

This one is so near and and dear to my heart, as it speaks directly to the providers, particularly midwives, but not exclusively. It speaks to our role in leading this new chapter in postpartum care.

This class has it all- the research, the data, the framework to reinvent postpartum care to fully encompass what we as postpartum folks have been calling for. ❤️
