Normal Rotary Club
The Normal Rotary Club is a group of individuals who have come together to support our community, do good around the world, and build friendships.
We meet every Wednesday from 12:00 to 1:00 at the ISU Alumni Center in Normal. A meal is provided. For those interested, a Zoom option is available.
Everyone had a great time at Normal Rotary’s Rural-Urban night at Ropp Farm. Cow judging, great food, and a speaker from the University of Illinois made for a fantastic evening.
All-club Rotary happy hour a great success! It is always fun when we gather together. Normal Rotary was happy to partner with Bloomington Rotary to host. Let’s make sure we do this again soon!

Normal Rotary was proud to host a world champion at its meeting this week. Chef Kenneth Hardiman shared stories about his work as the Executive Chef at the Kentucky Derby. We also saw his championship ring from his time as the Executive Chef for the Milwaukee Bucks! Amazing program!

More than 250 Unit 5 families will receive holiday food baskets thanks to the support of community members. Unit 5 staff members and members of Normal Rotary packed the bags this week to get them ready for distribution. We are so grateful we live in such a generous community.

Normal Rotarians are always looking for ways to serve our community. Tonight it was serving dinner at Safe Harbor.
What a beautiful night for the Normal Rotary Bon Fire. Food, friends, and fun and marshmallows. Lots and lots of marshmallows.
A packed meeting today highlighted by speaker J Phillips, president of BN Commerce Bank, who spoke about the work of the CEO Council.
We also swore in another new member, the group excelled at jeopardy, and everyone enjoyed DP Dough for lunch.
Normal Rotary took over Hancock Stadium for our weekly meeting. It was a great location to host our special guest, ISU basketball coach Rob Judson. Judson had a great time at the meeting and members loved hearing about his illustrious career.
Normal Rotary was doing great things for our community and having a great time doing it. We gathered to make blankets to be distributed to Veterans at Carle Bromenn Medical Center. We forgot to take our obligatory group photo but let’s chalk that up to the apple cider mimosas.
Fall fun! Normal Rotary joined Sunset Rotary for a guided tour of the Ilse and Charles Jobson Natural Play Park at Colene Hoose Elementary School. It was a beautiful day to explore this new community treasure.
Normal Rotary had a great time participating in Oakdale Elementary’s trunk or treat event. Quite a few “characters” showed up to participate.

Illinois Prairie Community Foundation names Philanthropists of the Year Three Bloomington residents and one Pontiac resident were named Philanthropists of the Years by the Illinois Prairie Community Foundation.
Normal Rotary and Kiwanis Club of Bloomington, Illinois partnered to build picnic tables for Oakdale Elementary School. The project grew out of a worldwide effort for social service agencies to join together and address different issues, including supporting education. The students and staff at Oakdale will enjoy the outdoor space for learning, collaboration, and fun.
What a great day at Normal Rotary! We welcomed three new members this week and heard a great presentation from Project Oz. Plus, we had DP Dough for lunch. What a trifecta!

Normal Rotarians gathered together with other community members to help make sure students are ready when school starts next week. Volunteering with the Back to School Alliance was a great experience and exemplified the mission of the Normal Rotary Club.
