My Story

I am Angel! I have lived in Kennewick Washington since the day I was born. I have been married 21 years and have 2 amazing daughters. I tried college but at the time it was just not for me. I am passionate about learning but the day in and day out of just being assigned reading and memorizing facts for a test was not where I was going to excel. So after a year I enrolled in Cosmetology School. I was thriving in my new environment and learning became easy. The reading had a purpose and the facts I was memorizing were being used everyday. I have been a licensed Cosmetologist for...well we don't have to really go there, LOL. As I started to adult my needs changed. I did not want to miss out on watching my daughters grow up and I wanted to be with them as much as possible. The certainty of consistent paychecks, set hours and insurance benefits became my driving force on choosing my new career.

However, time never slows down and it feels as though year by year it speeds up and if we blink for too long we can miss something. Therefore, I rarely was without a camera or a video camera. I wanted to freeze the moments and keep them forever. Or rewatch them over and over. Pictures became a way to remember every dimple, the cutest baby toes, the gummiest smiles and every milestone! I actually found my 5th grade diary and I wrote, when I grow up I want to be a Photographer! I was obviously smart in the 5th grade and knew there was something special about being a photographer. If only my 5th grade self would have shown up when I was applying to college!

The exciting part is that as of March 1st, 2020 I am officially Angel Hart Photography. I am in the process of perfecting my studio and making it a place that I am proud of and that my clients will love as much as I do! Prior to opening my business and studio, I was loving taking pictures of friends and family and friends of friends that would spread the word about my work. For years I would have considered myself a natural light photographer. However, the outdoors is not always predictable and as much as I love a good field shot I am not crazy about whatever might be slithering around LOL. For real though, I do still love to find natural backdrops that can be used to create not just a photo but a piece of art.

I absolutely love being a photographer. I value relationships and turning clients into life long friends. I can't wait to meet you!
