Check This Guy Out!

Lovely - our longest GDA resident!

We're eager to find a loving family for Lovely, a gentle and affectionate 4 year old mixed breed. . She's a low-key, laid-back companion who adores people (although some still make her nervous if wearing a uniform) and gets along well with other dogs. Despite being our longest-staying resident (since Spring 2021), Lovely has blossomed into a trusting and loving friend.

Her journey began when she was rescued from being tied up outside 24/7 with a heavy chain around her neck. After overcoming initial wariness and completing heartworm treatment (thanks to our generous donors!), Lovely is now ready for her forever home.

This couch potato loves taking it easy and has mastered great manners - she's 100% housebroken!

Although Lovely loves children, we believe she'd be best suited for an adult only home or families with older kids (8+ years) who can:

- Understand and respect her calm demeanor
- Handle her with care and gentleness
- Appreciate her laid-back personality

Contact us today if you think Lovely would make the perfect pet to add to your home!

UPDATE! They are leaving for AJK Rescue in Austin!

Our ACO along with the help of many others worked tirelessly to gain this sweet Mama's trust. Her and her babies are now safe with us and Mama is realizing humans aren't so bad after all. We are seeking a dedicated foster that can take this sweet family in until the pups are fully weaned. Please let us know if you can help and we will set you up with our adoption/foster coordinator to get you approved as a foster!

Heads up Y’all

Lost Pet Scam Alert

If you receive a call from someone claiming to have found your lost pet and demanding payment in exchange for their return, do not engage. Hang up immediately and contact the police department to report the incident. This is a common scam tactic, and your prompt action will help prevent further fraudulent activity.

URGENT! THESE TWO ARE AT RISK OF EUTHANASIA 🚨THIS FRIDAY 🚨 They are at the Moulton Police Department who does not have the proper means to continue to care for them!. Please call 361-798-2121or 361-596-4621if you can help!

The black and white dog is a female, likely a Collie Shepherd mix, weighing around 10-12 pounds. She's extremely friendly and nice. I believe she was dumped, as she was found wandering aimlessly in the middle of town, trying to jump into people's cars.

The brown dog is a female, possibly a Chocolate Lab mix. She loves kids and was living in the town for months, with people feeding her and considering her the 'town dog.' Unfortunately, she was brought in. Despite having a collar, no one has claimed her although Moulton PD has posted her multiple times.

🔸️These dogs are not in the care of GDA. We have no further information, so please direct all questions to the number listed.🔸️

Hey Y’all, can anyone help out here. The shelter is at full capacity and placing as many as possible in temporary foster care during the hurricane. These two furbabies need fosters now to save their lives.

07/07/2024

THANK YOU to Steve, a dedicated supporter who has become our first Hurricane Foster! Help us clear the outdoor kennels by fostering a dog or two during this weather that Hurrican Beryl is going to bring our way!

At this time, we are asking fosters to keep the dogs until next Saturday, the 13th, based on current weather forecasts! If anyone is able to provide temporary foster care for one or two dogs during the storm, we would be incredibly grateful. Send us a message!
