Finally got to cross Numbers Nightclub off the list of places I want to spin. Saw so many old faces and had such a great time. I've known the guys in these pics about 35 years! Terry wants to do it every Labor Day... I'm down.

My mom was able to stop by our location in Famous Foods Street Eats during her visit. We're glad she had the chance to meet some of the amazing people that take care of our brand at Resorts World Las Vegas. We're grateful to have them on our team.

Continuing our tradition of eating pizza in every city we visit, we stopped by Cart-Driver Denver at the recommendation of Paul Qui. Pizza did not disappoint. We ran into on our walk there! Wish I would've asked to get a picture with her.

A little BTS from our Pig Roast last week. We were able to jump onto a friend's food truck and fry up the smoked skin into some tasty chicharonnes. Shout out to for setting up the event. We had a great time.

The American city of Chicago has honoured the influential producer Steve Albini after his passing in May by renaming a street after him. Now, West Belmont Avenue will be called Steve Albini Way.⁠

Although Albini was born in California, he spent his youth moving from place to place with his father’s job as a wildfire researcher. It wasn’t until he ended up in Evanston, Illinois, in Chicago to attend college that he finally seemed to put down solid roots in a place.⁠

Chicago also became the place where Albini made his name as he embedded himself within the city’s music scene and eventually began recording and producing records first for the people surrounding him and then for bigger and bigger names as his reputation grew.⁠

In 1995, Albini bought his own studio in Chicago, Electrical Audio, where many of his most influential albums were recorded. It sits at 2621 West Belmont Avenue, right on the street that will now take his name.⁠

It was Touch and Go Records, a Chicago based independent label, that made the move to honour Albini. On July 29th, the label shared an official letter of ordinance by the city council, confirming that honorary street name signs are being installed along the 2600-2700 block of West Belmont Avenue. The street was specifically selected to cover Albini’s studio as the centre point of his career.⁠

After the producer and engineer passed on May 7th, 2024 from a heart attack, there have been hoards of tributes from his peers, fans and artists he worked with. Names like Dave Grohl, Joanna Newsom, PJ Harvey, Mogwai and more paid their respects.

Had a great time catching up with my aunt and cousin over the weekend at Terry's wedding reception. Family from my mother's side was also in town, but I didnt get a chance to snap any pictures. It was so good to see everyone after so long.

Our old friend Aaron came to Houston for work and stayed an extra few days so we could catch up and meet his daughter, Victoria. We've all been friends almost forty years.

Half the kitchen gonna come in slacking tomorrow because they tried to binge tonight. I'm gonna wait until I have more time.

Anyone else eat this stuff? My mom used to buy this for me when I was kid and I still love it... but I don't think I've ever seen anyone else eat it.
