"The Nicest Kids In Town" -former dancers from the Buddy Deane Show (1957- 1964). Enjoy our memories.
A few nice write ups sent by Robert
Linda & Gene Snyder.
PEN LUCY BAND …Some of you will remember this popular group who played Club Venus and many other venues in Baltimore.
George Layfield who was the lead singer also was a short time Buddy Deane Committee member in 1963, and currently married to 1963 committee member Mary Kelly.
I think you will remember their song BREAKFAST and the second part was a really interesting article about the perils of getting a record made and who was involved at that time. Former committee member Joe Cash was in the business and played a part in getting their music made.

Frani Nedeloff Hahn, former committee member on the show at the end of 1961 - Jan. 6,1964 collecting & sharing memories of the Committee, the music and Buddy Deane. I like to think that Buddy would be so proud of how many committee members stay in touch with each other! It was a special time of keeping music and dancing alive. It wouldn’t work out again with teenagers today. It was (1957-1964) years of innocence through music and dancing.
I also appreciate all the help from Anne Boyer Tempera and Marie Cooke Shapiro in their help with this website.

We are at the John waters show! Can’t wait to see him
Sad to say that we lost another friend. Duane Schline (?) passed a few days ago. He was a sweetheart and on the show for a few years. He always kept in touch with his friends. If we called him for a dance, he would surely show up. Picture of Duane And Concetta.
I just received a note from Mike Ferrera’s daughter that he passed this week. He was on the committee during 1963 and was a dear friend. Our condolences to his family. 🙏💙🙏

Here is a great article that I am sharing from Vicki!
In 1992, our favorite WJZ TV personality, Norm Vogel created a now and then show. He chose Baltimore subjects and we were so happy that he included The Buddy Deane Show (1957-1964) and his Committee Members. Someone from You Tube sent this to me and I will share with you! It was when he did a special on Wayne & I.
Please remember that this was taken in 1992 when you see some of our hair dos! 🥰
