Calgary Stampede 2024 in the bag!

Yahoo to everyone that stopped by and supported the business. Ken, myself, Daniel, Denver and Jake thank you all for stopping by and supporting or just chatting. Thanks to extra last minute staff Tamara and Terry. Your hours made a huge difference during the switch off. Three generations of Shepherd blood worked. Making us all proud!!! Thank you. 🧡🧡🧡🧡

So many returning customers and so many new ones. New Zealand, England, Ireland, Japan and Australia just to name a few tourists that came in and chatted it was a pleasure to chat and talk about our homemade products.

Many other lessons were had and were taught during our 11 day run. Forever remembered and for my grandson to be a part of...love it!

Stampede Staff (Katie and Michelle) you amaze me. You keep the vendors happy and easier to find help when needed. With the exception of this incident I had to chase a group of young ones as they grabbed merchandise and ran. I still got it in me, funny the only words that came out were " DO BETTER!" must have been the Gen X in me. LOL

Next year will be even better!

Stampede 2024 Officially over!

Reflecting on our past few weeks filled with learning and creativity!

We learned Pow Wow dances, crafted ribbon skirts and designed shirts. These experiences have not only taught us new skills but have also strengthened our connection to the traditions and stories of Indigenous culture.

A huge thank you to the Calgary Foundation, the Dover Community Hall Association, Ken Shepherd Originals, Shirley Hill, Luke Whiteman, Amy Hill, Elders Ruth Scalp Lock, Francis Melting Tallow and Jordan Bare Shin Bone for coming together to run these workshops.

Looking forward to continuous learning as we hope to be able to do this again soon!
