Wow what an amazing review of “Music That Makes No Cents Vol. 1” from A Perfect Mess. I mean she got me with the “Choose Your Own Adventure” comment. Have a read if you enjoyed the album OR if you haven’t heard the album, go listen so you can enjoy the read.
Falling Into The Soaring Sounds of Ryan Liatsis – Music That Makes No Cents, Vol. 1 | A Perfect Mess Falling Into The Soaring Sounds of Ryan Liatsis – Music That Makes No Cents, Vol. 1 Posted on April 17, 2023 by admin One of the absolute best parts of starting this blog way back in 2011 has been the people I have been able to meet through their incredible music. With a small handful of exception...
People ask me all the time…what is that?! The almighty string dampener is one of the best discoveries I’ve made in the last couple years. It really helps get extremely clean takes in the studio. For $15 ya can’t go wrong.
“Music That Makes No Cents, Vol. 1” is officially out today! Download it on my BandCamp page or listen on any of the popular streaming sites (link below). Happy listening 🎵 🎸

Here it is!…The artwork to the upcoming album of the century titled “Music That Makes No Cents” Vol. 1.
After years of questioning adolescent identity, around age 26 I had finally come into my own, culminating with my now signature mustache & glasses aesthetic. Now, 10 years later at age 36, I stumbled upon this old baby photo, which really puts in perspective just how undeniably me I’ve been my whole life 🤯
Mark those calendars, Friday March 10th I’m dropping my first solo album! Please stay tuned for more updates.
Here’s “I’m Only Sleeping” by The Beatles. A little Jazz rendition with Natasha DiMarco. Enjoy! 🎤🎸
This little number was an audition for a TV music album called Plot Twist. The idea was to create pieces where the first part of the tune is happy & uplifting, BUT THEN…a sudden musical twist turns it sad, scary or in this case pretty epic! Sadly this particular one didn’t make the cut, I suppose because it rocks TOO hard! 🎸
A few months ago I had the pleasure of collaborating on a track for Evil Dead: The Game with Deletto, Kito Bovenschulte & Steve Molitz. The result was an incredibly gritty, downright evil heavy metal song called “Burn Them Down”, used as the background for an intense driving mission. This here is the solo from that song, and they just released the official full track / lyric video on YouTube! Check out the link below to hear the whole production and sing along 👹

I never realized this was my favorite Stone Temple Pilots song. “Sour Girl”…amazing melody…what a hit! This is very addicting to play with the bass line and chords on guitar, the unsung hero of this little rendition.
Here’s something fun I recently worked on. I find venturing into “commercial” type music to be quite exciting. This is one of many little tricks I’ve experimented with for vocal fx.
This one made use of Soundtoys and Waves Audio plugins. Enjoy 🎸 🎹🎤
Here’s a way I like to challenge myself at gigs…make whatever you’re supposed to play more difficult! This is what I typically do to spice up “Dancing In The Dark” by Bruce Springsteen.
Had the pleasure of collaborating on this bad-ass EVIL rock song for Evil Dead: The Game recently. The new DLC dropped at midnight so get to it! The full song features Deletto on vocals, Kito Bovenschulte on drums and produced by Steve Molitz. Happy pumpkin day 🎃
Finally learning “Dire Wolf” with Dead Meat. Amazing pedal steel playing by Jerry on that one. Here’s the intro lick on lap steel, not quite the same but I think it’s pretty darn close. Might be time to just buy a pedal steel…
Here’s a short diddy I made to audition for a gig. The last couple years I’ve been privileged enough to compose music for a some really great video games like World War Z and SnowRunner / MudRunner. I made this piece using mostly NATIVE INSTRUMENTS Kontakt. It’s been incredibly fun creating in the studio, a nice change of pace from the usual shredfest that is my life!
It’s the Chattanooga shred-shred! What an amazing time playing at Morgan & Wade’s wedding in Tennessee.
“Star Spangled Banner” ala Hendrix. Live at . Happy 4th ya’ll!
Ridin’ that D with at last weeks show. Come see us at next Friday June 10th to hop aboard!
