[2025 ITSF World Cup and World Championships]

[ITSF WORLD CUP]

❗️The next ITSF World Cup will be held in 2025!

As the regular World Cup calendar as been disrupted by the recent pandemic, it has been decided to cancel 2023 edition, which would have been too close to Nantes 2022.
This decision allows the organization to resume with the usual schedule, distant to the Football World Cup and the Olympic Games.

✅ The application process is ongoing and the ITSF is currently discussing with the candidate cities to select the best host for the next edition.

‼️ The 2025 host will be revealed in June 2023. Stay tuned!

[Standard Matchplay Rules]

The Standard Matchplay Rules have been updated. The Version 1.1 is available online on ITSF Website under the name ''Game Rules – Standard Matchplay Rules 2022''

SMR Version 1.1 contains no rule changes from the 2015 legacy rules, only corrections and clarifications, some of which resulted from requests for rule interpretations.

Hi all is planning foosball event for 1st April in Rugby Bar 8. We might expect bigger turnover so we want to make sure if we do get more people we have enough tables prepared. We have special guest: John Worthington and friends (tbc) old school foosballers (great players) joining once a year on April’s fool day to play foos with us. Today the world celebrates and reflects on progress made on women and girls' rights - and calls for an end to gender inequality.

Foosball is an incredible accessible game which can be played by ANYONE and EVERYONE. It's great fun for those who may not easily to be able to participate in other sports - and that often means women and girls.

Today we celebrate the achievements and contributions of all the brilliant and wonderful women and girls involved in UK table football today.

And we ask everyone the same question - how are YOU going take our sport out so it can have a positive impact on the lives of more women and girls in future?

Well done to Brendon Darragh for taking a top spot at our Friday’s DYP! It’s been pleasure watching your amazing shots from back! 🤩 well deserved top spot! It proves that not only forward players are the winners! Congrats to Bill and Stefan for getting to 2nd and 3rd place. Thanks everyone for coming it was great fun and lovely catch up! Also big welcome to Chris our new member, who joined us with his lovely wife. We hope to see you soon again and we hope to convince your wife to play as well! 😉

Last week of foosball at Fargo Village was so great we’ve decided to join there again this weekend. Anyone fancy to play some foos welcome to join us 7pm onwards

Another great tournament to add to calendar! Rugby Town TFC members visited Manchester Tournaments before and will definitely go to this one too! The organisers and hosts always ensure good fun and competition for everyone.

Yesterday was a very SUCCESSFUL day at Rugby Central Shopping Centre!
Many Thanks to Rugby Central, who allowed us to run our event, to all our friends who came to support us, and thank you to all participants!

We've had 35+ participants in only 8 hrs time. The table was in use from opening hours till closing time. During peak hours, we have had to ask people to swap around after completed game, as there was a queue of players! Few of the customers stayed with us over for 2 hours, just so they can play more!

We have received a very POSITIVE feedback from people who participated, as well as from people who were just passing by. Some looked surprised at first and came up to us shy and slowly, and some walked fast towards us with an EXCITEMENT in their eyes, as soon as they spotted table football!
People asked us where they could play MORE table football, or buy a good quality table. Some people even asked about tournaments! Luckily we were there the whole time to answer all the questions...

,,I cant believe how much fun this is!"
,,I didn't realise Foosball is such a big thing!"

We have had people joining us to play from all age groups, nationalities, ethnicity...all with different characters and looks, but one thing in common: the BIG SMILE on everyone's face when they played TABLE FOOTBALL!
Most of the participants were KIDS and TEENAGERS, however we have also had many ADULTS. Some of them played with us for the FIRST TIME, some of them used to play back in the school years and few of them plays regularly with their friends.

We have also been talking to people and asking our Rugby LOCAL COMMUNITY, where they would like to see Table Football. These are the answers we have received:
32% Schools
28% Shopping Centres
20% Community Centres
8% Church
8% Warehouses
4% Villages

Additionally, we have received requests to contact specific locations, where public could BENEFIT from having table football. We will be contacting all those places within next few months.

We are very excited to share these news- the one and only free play Bonzini table in UK is in Rugby Town!
We have this beautiful Bonzini B90 table set up at the Paddox Public House.
The Bonzini is a leader brand of football table since the post-war years, these days the ITSF model is used on World Championship Tournaments by professional players.
The Paddox is a great local place where you can come to watch a gig, have a dinner or drink with your friends. We can't wait to announce our first Bonzini Tournament!

This is something what we’ve been all waiting for...

As I mentioned earlier, the purpose of the WPA is to bring women players, our history, achievements, benefit from playing, future goals and plans into focus. I want the women players to be seen, heard and recognized worldwide at one place / on one page.

To start with, we will interview some of the world's most extraordinary women players, champions, and even legends, who have done much for our sport.

Up to now, there have been posts and articles about us, in different sites, as we have taken secondary roles. But now we have our own international forum, all about women and for women.

With foosball rapidly becoming a global sport, we will continue to reach out to as many of you as possible. And I’m sure that if you are like me, it's fascinating to hear each other’s unique stories.

So as our new WPA org. reaches out to you women, we look forward to your participation. Please share your stories and your own particular foosball journey and history. Additionally, we want men to hear our voices and look forward to their support. As well as the attention from non-foosball players, too. So share our page and let's make ourselves heard!!!

Who knows what we women can achieve together? As we give direction to the passionate powerful synergy the great game of foosball generates!!!

Last but not least, I’m happy to announce that you will be able to read the first interview tomorrow and many more are coming up!
