How is it made?
1)The net starts as thin strips of maple, oak, walnut and ash. Each net is unique and will have a combination of these woods.
2) The strips are steamed and then bent in a special jig.
3) Once dry, the strips are glued together with a special waterproof adhesive.
4) Next the handle is added.
5) We now have a “hoop”. The hoop is sanded, the groove is added for the net and holes are drilled to sew the net on.
6) multiple coats of waterproof finish are applied.
7) Lastly, the rubber net is sewn onto the hoop giving us a finished product.
My latest build. 9" x 16" hoop with ruler built into the handle. $85 plus shipping. Can be purchased trough marketplace or DM me.
