SATT - Students Advocacy about Traffic and Transportation
We are ATT students who advocate for better transportation here in Bagumbong.
Spreading knowledge on the issue of traffic and transportation, sharing our experience, and finding solutions to control the issue in this society.
It's late and I'm going home, riding a bus, train, or jeep. Each night we see people sleeping because of tiredness from work or school. You see different people's lives, but we have something in common, and that is that we are tired. It feels comforting because, at the end of the day, we are not alone. We interact silently.
Let's go and support the use of public transportation.
The term 'kamote rider' is used to describe motorcycle riders who display bad riding habits on the road, like overtaking, driving on the other lane, taking a short cut on walk side. We all understand that you don't want to get stuck in traffic and be late for your work but it doesn't mean that you can do things wrong. Traffic only gets worse if you behave like this, be responsible and follow the rules on the road. Be the person who can inspire other riders, ride safely!
When a traffic light turns green, you should not proceed immediately but first make certain it is safe to do so. Be aware of pedestrians and oncoming traffic to avoid accidents and potentially causing gridlock. The rule is to be cautious and respectful of other road users.
Supporting public transportation is also supporting jeepney drivers and other drivers, since this is their source of income to pay for their daily economic needs.
Let's go and support our jeepney drivers! *Beep *Beep
One of the parts of the song "Cool ka lang" By Prettier than pink
"Buhol-buhol ang traffic, cinut ka pa ng jeep
Minura pa ng driver at ulo'y uminit"
"Easy ka lang, relax ka lang
Simple lang ang buhay, ngumiti ka na lang
Daanin mo sa galit, noo'y kukunot lang
Kaya't, kaibigan, konting pasensiya lang"
A lot of drivers and commuters relate to this part, especially when they go to work. However, because of anger, it sometimes ends up in trouble and the traffic gets worse. This song indicates that anger can't do anything so just be cool. Try listening to music like this when you're stuck in traffic
Cool ka lang, okay? :>

"Drive safely when you are on the road"
A caution that emphasizes the importance of safe driving, particularly when there is traffic. It draws attention to the reality that many traffic accidents are avoidable and are the result of careless actions like speeding, driving aggressively, or being distracted. Thus, it serves as a reminder to drive safely and responsibly at all times.
“Going to another lane” means you're going to be working when other people are not working. You're going to be learning when other people are not learning. You're going to be accomplishing things when other people are not accomplishing things. If you do what everybody else does, you are average by definition.
Maintaining patience enables us to approach obstacles calmly and optimistically. When met with difficulties or setbacks, patience empowers us to persist and conquer adversity. Rather than rushing through life, we may choose to savor each moment. Through cultivating patience, we foster inner tranquility and fulfillment, leading to a richer and more fulfilling life.
When you're out on the road, remember to always drive with kindness in your heart. Being considerate towards other drivers can help create a safer environment for everyone. By practicing patience and understanding, we can silence road rage and promote a more peaceful driving experience. Let's work together towards fostering a culture of respect and empathy on our roads.
It suggests that, like traffic, life presents challenges that we must overcome in order to accomplish our goals and stay on the right path. In addition, there comes a time in our fast-paced lives when we must slow down to process everything—goals, thoughts, actions, and viewpoints, among other things. This phase of slowing down in our lives is essential for reaching the right road.
"When you're in your on lane, there is no traffic" -Ivan Arandid
This quote shows the importance of active participation, traffic is a big problem in all big cities, causing a bunch of issues for regular people. It wastes time and energy, and ends up costing the country a ton of money. The government needs to crack down on traffic and promote public transportation. Making sure public transportation is affordable and accessible is super important. Authorities need to be strict about enforcing traffic laws to keep everyone safe. People also need to be more careful and considerate when they're driving. If we all pitch in, we can tackle this big issue together.
As the quote directly states, any public transportation is important for moving people from one destination to another. As people use it more, it will take less volume on the roads as few people will use their vehicles, such as the overbearing amount of cars on the roads. Cars taking up too much space are one of the issues with traffic in cities.
This quote is a creative way of suggesting that we should acknowledge our part in producing traffic rather than thinking ourselves as apart from them. It's about accepting accountability for our deeds and realizing that, like other drivers, we also contribute to traffic in our society.
The spread of knowledge and awareness about the proper use of the road and responsibility as a driver or commuter is an important part of promoting anti-traffic advocacy. - Lalaine Macaraeg
"Each Car is a waste on the city's stem" -Zynix Santos
A little reminder that using cars only with the driver and not utilizing each seat that a car has is a waste on the city's road, which leads to traffic. It is important to utilize the public transportation cycling or using smaller vehicles to use each lane that a rode has.
